Litura was sad to see Suiko go when Kai had to part ways with him. He wished that he could have watched her grow up and been more involved in raising her since he has a strong concern of being seen as a bad parent due to his own situation of being separated from his father at an early age. While he never writes her himself due to being rather busy with mercenary work and not knowing what to say to her, he helps Senshu write the letters and sends them out for him; perhaps feeling a little guilty for not being able to do more...
Suiko's other, more distant father. She'd love to get to know him more but never got much of a chance to under Kai's smothering care. Sometimes when she's fed up with Kai's over protectiveness she fantasizes how it could have been growing up with Litura instead, but she usually gets over it and makes up with him within a day or two. She's hopeful to reconnect once she's older and has the means to travel on her own.
Out of all her litter mates, Senshu is the brother she was most sad about leaving. She always looks forward to receiving his letters and is happy to have maintained a connection with him in writing. She's hopeful for the day they can be reunited in person.
Looks up to Suiko for her elegance and wishes greatly that he could have gotten to know her better growing up. He is happy to have her as a sister and tries his best to write letters with the help of their "mother", Litura.
Kai fell in love with her the moment he saw her. His parenting instincts kicked into full force and he swore to do everything he could to keep her happy and safe. Being a world traveler, Kai has a very good understanding of the dangers of the outside world on top of him being a reckless, trouble-making kit in the past, he's terrified of his daughter following in his footsteps. While he has good intentions, he can be too overbearing and smothering which lead him to raise her in a fairly sheltered environment. Unfortunately, this has left their relationship a little strained as Suiko gets older and shows more desire to venture outside of his protection.
Her relationship with her father can be complicated at times but she loves him dearly regardless. Since she was a newborn she's listened to his stories about his world travels and all the Elnin he's met on his journeys. It inspires her to want to be an adventurer herself, but for some reason Kai always shoots down her passion saying it's too dangerous. Because of this Suiko has gravitated more towards books and maps, studying the world instead of experiencing it directly. Though every now and then she'll sneak out with encouragement from a friend or two to explore on her own under Kai's nose.
