SETTING

earthrise is an abstract narrative set in an alternate mid-1900s where research of nuclear weapons and space technology developed to an obscenely high extent. this was a result of arbitrary temporal and gnostic alterations done by the restoration, a collection of three gods — nature, time and chaos.
also has other 'tangential timelines' of the past and future, which the gods treat as fertile soil for intermixture. at the very least, time is fond of displacing figures and places quite often…

CONTEXT

so earthrise is a reinterpretation the discography of haken into a continuous narrative. though only certain albums of theirs have been 'confirmed' to be part of an ongoing narrative a lot of fans like linking together the different albums into one story and this is kind of my take on it. i write all character profiles here without the assumption that anybody knows what i'm talking about so that it's accessible to people who haven't listened to their music, however i will likely not be making any extensive worldbuilding literatures or whatever because there's really no point in it. i would however recommend this site if you're interested in summaries of the 'lore' i'm drawing from, though it may diverge in certain places since, as i'm stressing again, this isn't a fully faithful reconstruction and i'm very much spinning my own yarn at times.
