FYI, I've created an alt account specifically for my alien/monster OCs. I just kinda want to keep them separate, don't ask me why. ANYWAY, for those interested, the alt account is Ancient!

I'm cleaning up my toyhouse and kind of just want to get rid of characters I haven't managed to sell or trade, but don't want sitting around on my account indefinitely. Comment to claim, first come first serve. Keep in mind, while I'm not about to police what people do with these designs, its considered incredibly poor taste to resell or trade designs given to you for free. Its up to you what you do with it if you don't want it anymore, but keep that in mind.
That aside, here are the designs!
I love procrastinating so here's some info no one asked for about me.
1) What is your name?
Jesse, but some people call me Duck, others call me Ver. I don't really care tbh.
2) How old are you? Where are you from?
I'm 26. Born in Ohio, raised in Ohio/Boston/Ontario, currently in Boston.
3) When did you join Toyhouse?
November 24th, 2014 apparently.
4) How many characters do you have currently?
On toyhouse I have 89 ????? but I have more I haven't uploaded here. Others I haven't drawn and are just in my head...so....A lot.
5) Which is your favourite character?
It varies a lot, and I could never pick an all time fave. But currently I've been drawing/thinking a lot about Haell.
6) Oldest character?
Ranyaer is who I always tell people is my oldest OC. Technically he is, of the active ones. I made him when I was around 13? My actual oldest character still stirs around in my brain but needs work. He doesn't have a profile, but I made him for a teen titans RPG forum when I was 12.
7) What is / are your favourite species?
I love aliens and monsters, mostly because of the plethora of ways you can design and conceive of them. There are no limits, no assumptions. I don't know if I can think of any 'established' species I love...do superheroes count...
8) What do you look for in a design?
Generally, the key points I look for first are: art style/quality, originality (is it worth buying or is it something I could have easily come up with myself?), and then whether or not the design is something I can work into a story or concept. I've gotten away (fortunately) from grabbing designs just because they're pretty or appealing, since that doesn't always translate into something I'll use. Now I'll only buy a design if I know I'll use them.
9) Favourite colour schemes?
I like monochrome with pops of color, especially yellow or red. I like cool color palettes in general, or warm browns. I dunno, I'm not that particular on color so long as its not blinding or pastels.
10) Least favourite colours / themes? What don't you like?
Oh, I guess I shouldn't have just answered that lmao. Well, I don't really like pastels, or blinding neon barf on a canvas. I really don't like super complex markings or patterns that are virtually impossible to recreate without instantaneous tendonitis. I'm also pretty sick of angels, demons, and mer-people lately (particular mer-CS jfc). They just tend to lack much originality and all kind of blur together for me. Also anthro/furry designs.
11) What would your characters say about you?
I'm not sure. I'm negligent but also a bastard? And I'm lazy.
12) How many of your characters have you designed yourself? Do you buy designs?
I'm not gonna go and count them all, but most I think? At this point I don't think I have as many bought designs from others, at least that I'm actively using. Lately I've been more interested in doing my own thing unless its a design I really really love.
13) Dream species to own?
None really at the moment. I'm really not into the CS scene anymore, there's literally one I'm interested in, and I have 2 of them (and an MYO slot I need to draw...). I've just come to realize that CS are a creativity drain on me, and the community is primarily batshit crazy.
14) Have you ever traded away / sold a character?
Yeah I have, quite a lot actually. I don't like holding onto characters I'm not using anymore, I feel guilty lmao. Or sometimes I'm just broke and need the funds. Not as much anymore, since like I said, I don't really dabble in that stuff much.
15) Where do your character names originate from?
Tbh most of the time I just pull a random name out of my ass. Sometimes I'll look up a translation for a word in another language and tweak the spelling. Thats about it though.

This is tentative, and I'm not entirely sure how it would go/if anyone would even be interested.
But I have a handful of closed species I've created, and while none have been super popular, I know they've had a small community of fans (which I greatly appreciate!)
However, as I don't really intend to create new ones any time soon, at least for now, I thought it might be a good idea to sell the rights to the species to someone new, who would then become owner of the species, allowing them full rights to the lore, the designs, and to creating adopts, etc.
The species in question are the Jie, the Suilo, Weather Nymphs, and Cadiva. You can see more about each here: link
So basically all of them except for Werescáths lol.
For now, I'm accepting offers, since I'm not entirely sure what they're worth. I'm only looking for cash ($$) via paypal or maybe points.
If you buy the rights to the species, you can have all of my premade bases and species/trait sheets if you want them. You'd have full control of the species to do whatever you want with them. The only thing I'd ask is that I still be allowed to create them for my own personal use whenever I'd like, just in case.

PS: Please don't offer me $10 or 200 points for a species...obviously, since you'd be getting commercial rights to the species, I'd except more than that 8')

I always enjoy the holidays. In the past I've always done my best to get a few little things for mutuals, followers, or just those whose lists I happen upon. While I'm a bit tight on funds this year, I'd still like to do little things for people, whether its amazon wishlists, art, or whatever. So, if you have a wishlist, comment with a link! For designs, I'm not super looking for new things right now, but I'm very fond of one-off designs of masculine humanoid males, 'baras', and things similar to those seen in my characters. The only CS I'm really interested in are appositi and plant-fu!
