Station IOWR351-MS is far out of the way of most everything. Centuries old and starting to fall apart piece by piece, it's known to its small staff as 'Iowa.' Iowa is a monitoring station built to watch the evolution of the star HR 9701 from a Blue Supergiant into a Wolf-Rayet. The staff consists of commander Clara Furnes, science officer Robin Staveling, and flight engineer Mechanidroid Model No. VE11-S42, known as 'Sierra.' Things change when Meredith Ryde, android scientist and engineer, joins Iowa as a secondary science officer and researcher.
