Commissions n Adopts? + Art n design trades

Straight to the point, should i open commissions n make adopts? I'm pretty indecisive abt this one because i need money without having to ask my parents about it but at the same time i'm afraid i wont be able to finish the commissions because of irl stuffs. Though i would aboslutely love to make adopts and takes less time to finish (because i already made em lol)

As for the second one, yup. Trades are open! Particularly looking to draw in this or one. I'm looking for humans n humanoids character to practice with (wont guarantee their head would be round lol). In return, im looking art for Swiss cheese or anyone here. Slots are limited though, so feel free to comment below :D

I don't know your exact situation, but maybe if you are anxious about commissions, you could start out with adopts to get the hang of dealing with selling your art online and when you have the confidence in your abilities move on to commissions!

I am working on a world for my characters, I personally would love to commission you to draw a planet-person based on the planet my OCs live on! I need some time to develop the idea and raise the funds, but I'd be happy to be one of your first customers when you are ready to start!

I find that growing my art-business (don't even know what to call it) is best to be done step by step, make long term goals and many little ones that lead up to the big ones to make it less scary and easier to tackle with a lot of fun and positive experiences on the way. For example, I wanted to make new pricelists and information for aaaaaall my commissions this year, I decided to make one for sketches in January because I already had the style and technique down and I was confident I could handle them well and I put all other types of commissions like ink/colour illustrations and paintings on hold until I figure out what terms and prices would apply the best for those.

I wish you the best, I hope you succeed in whatever you set out to accomplish!

Aaa thank you so much for your thoughtful comment!! You're such a nice person ;w; -but yeah, that was pretty much the problem ahah. Anxiety can be such a problem tbh. I'll be taking your advice, starting small seems to be a lot easier to me especially for someone who had witnessed the risk of starting big. (Off topic, but i checked your page and i think your art looks really great and unique! The colours and style you have is honestly so appealing. I'd like to commission you someday c:)

I think your art/designs are really great! I would add more to my response to the first point, but I think the others made a really good advice!

I think any of your blue characters' would be fine (i'd love to draw Inigo because he's from me lmao) but probably the prince or sirius? whichever you want lol

For the first point, I think you should, but you should warn people that it might take some time to finish stuff due to real life issues; if it turns out you can't finish them then you should refund them. That's just my opinion though!

As for the second point...

I'm kidding but yee I'd love to do a trade with you if that's ok!

I guess trying a fullbody would be nice, so fullbody it is! So, A fullbody of Phobos n Deimos for a fullbody of Aloysious. I'll work on it once i'm finished with my other part.

Your art style and designs are so great, I definitely think you should open comms/adopts if you want to! If you're worried about irl stuff getting in your way, maybe only open a few slots at a time? (like 2 or 3) That would probably cause much less pressure that if you have, let's say, a big to-do list with 10 pieces to finish. Or just make adopts if you prefer!

I would love to trade again with you, if you're okay with that! As always, I'm looking of art of characters under my "fave" tag, and I could draw nearly anyone haha (Swiss cheese is a cutie ♥)

That sounds great to me, especially given that Lucien has no art made by others yet! I'll probably use my regular shaded style in that case if that's okay! So halfbody trade is it? Unless you want me to do a full body ref of Lucien before starting? :0
