Shop Guidelines

By purchasing from my shop, you are agreeing that you have read/understand the rules below.

1. Coding is for the purchaser's use only, you may not redistribute to your friends.
   • If you want to buy a layout as a gift for someone, ko-fi has a gifting option so you can pay for it and have the template sent to someone else.
2. You are responsible for installing your coding after purchase & any edits you wish to make.
   Do not purchase a template then PM me asking how to install or edit it.
3. You are responsible for what you choose to purchase.
   Do not buy premium content/content that requires CSS if you do not have a premium account.
4. You are responsible for saving your coding after purchase. I suggest saving/archiving your original purchase confirmation e-mail as this e-mail will contain a link to re-download the code should you ever need it.
5. Upon purchase from my shop, you will be able to download plain text files (.txt) that contain the HTML/CSS. You must be able to download and open .txt files to use the coding. I will not directly e-mail you the code.
   If you are not familiar with text files: they can be opened in Notepad on PC and in TextEdit on Mac. You can test download one with this freebie if you are uncertain in your ability to download/open the files.
   Do not open the files in your mobile browser window, it will not work.
6. General Useage Guidelines:
   • All my templates require WYSIWYG is turned OFF completely in your display settings. Don't hit the corner button on the editor, you must go into your settings and turn it OFF.
   • All my templates require "Code Editor" be turned ON in your display settings (check the box that says "Enable Code Editor"); if you do not turn it on, you can face some spacing issues
   • You must provide credit to me somewhere within the profile. Most profiles come with credit already coded in; you are welcome to move this, as long as it is there and clearly visible.
7. Premium Template Guidelines:
   • If you have never used a premium template before, I have a freebie example one here: https://toyhou.se/16213333.freebie-clean-css
     This freebie is significantly simpler than my paid content. If you cannot figure out how to use this freebie, you will not be able to use the more complicated code I sell.
   • Do not mix and match my premium HTML between layouts. Whatever HTML comes with your purchase was coded specifically for the CSS it's matched to, mixing and matching will cause the HTML to not function correctly.
   • On using my premium content with other people's content...
     • You can try to use HTML made by other creators with my CSS. It may work, it may look funky. It really just depends on how they made their HTML/what CSS you are mixing it with. If it doesn't look to your liking, it is your responsibility to edit/figure it out.
     • You cannot use HTML from my premium bundles with someone else's CSS. It will most likely look bad or be kinda broken due to missing classes.
     • You cannot combine my CSS imports with someone else's import. CSS is not magic, the layouts won't fuse together, it'll just make a broken mess

Freebie Rules

1. WYSIWYG must be turned OFF via your display settings & remain off. Do not put my code through WYSIWYG it will break. "Enable Code Editor" should be checked in your display settings.
   • You MUST use the display settings; do not hit the "Turn off WYSIWYG" toggle on the profile page, you MUST turn it off in the display settings.
2. You may not use my freebies to make your own templates for distribution. That means you may not copy & paste my code or use my templates as a "base" to make your own freebie templates or templates for sale.
   You may use my templates to make your own for personal use! It's also fine to use them as a base for your rp group, CS world or other personal projects.
3. Please provide credit to my account (/Pinky).
4. Do not PM me about freebies (or just general coding questions), I will not reply. Feel free to ask for help on the forums!
5. You are allowed to edit templates in any way you wish. You may fuse my templates together. You may fuse my freebie templates with other templates as long as all creators are credited.
6. Leave a comment on my forum post if you use something!
   • DO NOT COMMENT ON THIS BULLETIN. This bulletin IS NOT a forum post. Where you should post is clearly linked above, all you have to do is click the link. If you comment on this bulletin, you are telling me you did not actually read the rules LOL

Troubleshooting Tips

Template not working? Below are some tips. This list is short but it fixes 99% of the issues I get PM'd about.

Turn off WYSIWYG Editor & turn on "Code Editor" in your settings

Go to you display settings: https://toyhou.se/~account/display
where it says "WYSIWYG Settings" uncheck any of the pages you are planning to apply HTML
"Profile Text" will cover your character/user profile, though you may need to uncheck other boxes if you plan to use HTML on bulletins, forums, etc

Where it says "Editor Settings" up top, make sure "Enable code editor" is turned on

Hitting the toggle that says "Turn off WYSIWYG" on the profile page DOES NOT work, you MUST go into your display settings and turn it off (and leave it off; when you turn it back on, it will break your code)

If your layout was not working before and you make this change, you will need to clear the old coding & start over - the WYSIWYG editor adds things to the code that breaks it, so you need afresh copy that is not ruined by the editor.

Read the comments in the coding

I mark where important things go

• images will have a comment above them, where the image goes will say something like "URL_HERE" or "IMG_URL"
• music players will have comments above them explaining how to set them up
• for premium css, each part of the css will have a comment explaining what it does so you know what to change to customize the layout

Make sure you are applying the CSS in the correct location

If you have a premium layout & are only seeing a bunch of plain boxes/the entire page isn't changing like in the preview, that means you have not applied the CSS. The CSS file is marked with "CSS" in its name.

For character profiles, go the edit profile page. The HTML goes in the top box, the CSS goes in the bottom box labeled CSS

For user profiles, the HTML goes on the "Profile Content" page https://toyhou.se/~account/profile
while the CSS goes on the "Profile CSS & Blurbs" page, in the "Profile CSS" box https://toyhou.se/~account/profile/advanced
(do not paste your profile HTML in the "Profile Blurb" box)

Something else?

If the above steps do not fix your issue & you have a paid template, please PM with a link to the live template that is not working properly and I'll take a look. Do not send me a screenshot or copy the code into the PM, link me to the profile. I can view your source code this way.

My template is broken/not working properly

Please check my troubleshooting tips ! These tips solve 95% of the issues people have.

If there is an issue with the code itself (you can see the issue replicated in the live previews on my account) feel free to PM me about it & I will fix the base code; if it's an issue you are personally having with edits then that is your responsibility to fix. You can try asking on the forums!

How did you get a custom icon next to your username?

Many years ago I was a beta tester for the site, and beta testers were given custom icons as a "thank you" gift. (For reference I've been on toyhouse since 2014, this happened a long time ago!)

I want to use your coding but I can't figure out how to make it work. Can you help me?

As stated in my rules, the user is responsible for installing the code and all edits they wish to make; I will not walk you through how to set up a code or explain edits to you. I work full time and make these templates as a side hobby, I don't have the time ;u;/ (I'm also... really bad at explaining things LOL)

There are tutorials out there and also people who are happy to answer coding quetions on the coding forums so you can try asking for help there!

Do you take coding customs?

I do not, sorry!

I'm using a layout you've retired; can I keep using it?

Sure! When I retire things that means I don't distribute them anymore, but the coding still works so feel free to use it if you still like it. This includes retired freebies and paid content.

Can other people help me troubleshoot/modify your templates? Can I commission someone to edit your coding?

Sure. If you're having issues feel free to ask on the forums or have a friend help you. You can also commission someone to make edits for you.

Can I use the HTML of a premium layout if I don't have premium?

Nope! As stated in my P2U Rules you must have a premium account to use my premium layouts.

Are you lowkeywicked or eggy?

I am! Wicked/Lowkeywicked was my first username from when I first joined toyhouse in 2014.
I also went by "Eggy" for a while and used Gudetama as my avatar/for filler images but I figured it's best not to use a branded character so I switched over to my own original mascot Pinky

Can I pay with dA points/some other form of currency other than USD?

Nope! Sorry, I have no use for it.

Will you directly send me the coding I purchased?

I will never directly e-mail/message coding to people - you must download it from the point of purchase. Save your purchase e-mails and/or pay attention to what account you use to make purchases, if you ever loose the coding it will be in your purchase history.

I edited your template to make my own, do I still have to credit you? Can I reference your work?

If you took an entire template and modified it, then you must credit me. If you just used a line or two of code to see how to do something (like center a paragraph or make an image float or something) then no credit is required.
Basically if you're actually using a template, credit is required. If you're just looking how to do a single thing, no credit needed!

Can I get a refund because -insert reason here-

There is one reason I will provide a refund: if you accidentally buy the same thing twice. I've had this happen to a few people and I will refund the second purchase, just let me know the error!

I am using the HTML from one of your premium bundles with another css/without the css and it's broken :(

As stated in my rules the HTML that comes with a premium bundle is made specifically for that CSS; do not use it with any other CSS or without the CSS.

I am trying to edit this template, can you explain to me how to do make these edits? You don't have to do it for me, just explain to me what to do!

Please do not send me random coding questions! When i first started doing this years ago I had a lot more time and would answer these questions as much as a I could, but I don't have that kind of time anymore. The best advice I can give is do a few HTML tutorials and use google! You can also try asking on the forums.
