Oliv is PRECIOUS AS HELL. There aren't enough tubby cuties.

Also, it sounds like you know my pain of trying to find artists willing to draw characters fat, based on their first two images having specific notes not to draw them skinny.

Hmmm... You are making me want to make more round characters. Darn you. =P

OHMAN thankyou! O: There's definitely not.

Kind of yes! I've not had it happen in a long time, but I do also stress it pretty hard, hahah. I definitely know it's hard to find artists who do it, at least without being told a lot, though. xx;;

You're very welcome! Keep making beautiful characters. ♥

Yeah, and it's like that with any non-standard body type, too. People draw my twigs muscular, my shorties with long legs, my busties are flattened and my flatties are busted... But the fat brats get the body type mismatch the worst. They're drawn curvy at best, or with a fat subtype that doesn't match their design, cuz fat comes in SO many different arrangements and firmnesses. Some people put on more in he hips, some put on belly, some put on butt, some keep soft and just sag as they gain more, and some get hard pot-bellies. >3>

... Sorry, I was getting a little ranty there. :x

IT'S OKAY, the most common problem I get usually is Oliv or Mal being drawn as not thin, but still smaller than they are meant to be, or the wrong arrangement (usually the more around the hips arrangement)? I tend to give some leeway to this as usually it's just a case where the artist just doesn't have much experience drawing fat people, but it's really disappointing how few resources/references are around for that. I mean, I remember how hard it was for me to learn it given how few resources there are, gah I try not to intimidate artists with stressing "DON'T DRAW THIN" but at the same time, it's just something I see way too much to not say anything about it either :{ Shapes/features are kind of the main things I use to design characters, so I try to stress those cause they're, well, basically the main staple of the designs.

Yeah. Since most of my art I get is requested (people offer freebs on a forum I frequent), I often just send them the easy-to-draw OCs, and save the ones with unique body types for comms when I can afford them, cuz then I get to be picky. 8D;;

Or at least, I get to request changes on WIPs before they get too far: most artists are open to that sort of thing, as long as I mention I'll be a lil picky beforehand.

Yeah. For me it's inevitable because like 3 out of my 5 main characters Not Thin(tm) so when I'm on like, Art Fight I just kinda stress it and hope for the best. It's worked for me there at least?

When I commission, I'm just really selective of who I pick and I need to see if they've drawn varied bodies/faces before.
