Thank you so much! Its always heartwarming to hear from people who've read my profiles. :)

also.. paleontology? cryptozoology?? you and my friend and I would get along super well!

Perhaps. :) I should probably elaborate that my interest in cryptozoology stems from the skeptics side of things. I.e. I don't generally believe in cryptids but I find studying encounters fascinating, as well as seeing their possible natural explanations and where the stories originated from.

has any encounter / sighting ever totally stumped you? debunking myths and legends can be disheartening, but i think it's very important and to hear about whatever stemmed the stories in the first place is really enlightening.

It was disheartening once upon a time, since I didn't start out as a skeptic, it kinda happened overtime. Nowadays I find debunkings to be both amusing and enlightening, rather than something to bring myself down over. As for encounters, hm...there have been ones that have stumped me, but I don't think I can remember any off the top of my head at the moment? Although I am interested in cryptozoology its been pushed a little to the back by all the other stuff going on in my life in recent years which means that specific examples escape me at the moment.
