Does anyone have like so much art/crafting supplies? I have a medium sized bin full of crafting things and art tools as well as other few spots for fabric painting and a cylinder bin full of crayons, markers(Crayola) and etc. I just keep them to use to doodle even tho I have watercolor, acrylic, fabric paint, and ohuho markers.

not rly, no! the only things i'd have that might count as 'craft supplies' is a heap of washi tape and stickers i use for when i have the motivation to mess around w/ my journals
tho after i move out i'm gonna get back into sewing so if that counts no doubt soon i'll have lots of fabric, threads, and more! but currently, nah. don't have much at all

all i need for art rly is a .7 black lining pen, a paser, and an eraser so i don't tend to keep any other supplies art-wise :0

All I really have is a few mechanical pencils and a sketchbook- I mostly do digital art, so I only whip out the ol sketchbook when I have ideas for art or characters I'm bound to forget later. It's nice to have them as a fallback in case my computer fails me, though.

I don't think it's a ton but, I have like,  3 unused yet sketchbooks (and more half used ones oof), a bunch of watercolor brush pens, different microns (just black and sepia though), colored pens and pencils, few sakura gel pens, a box of washi tape, even a few pieces of decorative paper I've had for years and didn't use lol. Oh and I have paints and canvasses in a box in my closet. Acrylic and watercolor,  the cheap kind tho. I even have mod podge lol

...after typing this out I realize I have more than I thought LOL but it doesnt feel like it at all since they're in specific sections in my room :')

And I still love browsing art stores and wanting to buy something else each time lmao. My most recent purchase was of tortillions since I was using pencil for a while and wanted to blend better (aka without fingers lol)

AlleycatIrony Your much more organized and doesnt need that much but for me, I like to experience with different medias so that explains why i have lots of supplies. Also, good luck with the sewing the future! I never tried it but Im not patient

familiarfarris

I like to do traditional sometimes since its fine to have your proud artwork in your hand instead of just looking at. Also, good luck with your digital drawings! ^^

Kirbygal That doesn't sound like a lot since its what you need to make beautiful artwork ^^ And, I actually borrowed a tortillion from a friend and she told me to keep it and so far, I really like it especially when it's super cheap!

Kirbygal

Aw, that's true ^^ it sounds like a lot since I haven't use all of them recently ;; and yeah tortillions are so cheap and convenient to use; and apparently they can be cleaned with sandpaper. That's... another item I think I'll be buying xD

God yes. Acrylics, watercolors, pastels, charcoal, pencils, ink, shitload of sketchbooks made from that expensive paper for painting that ruined my wallet, like 8 or so boards ready to be painted on.. and i barely use any of those. Digital is my main medium so I just only do that oof. Doesn't help I don't really have a lot of space in my room so to draw traditionally I gotta clean up so much garbage that everytime I imagine all of that work I just never do it lmao. And then there's a box full of beads and wires that I used to craft from but I now my sight is too bad for it, the beads are too tiny D: I thought cross stitching would be a cheap and nice little hobby but NOPE SON LOOK AT THAT FAT BOX OVER THERE. All thread and fabric. Needles on every magnet in my room. God damn it's all mess lmao.

Since I want to be better at digital, and i still want to be good at traditional is I do traditonal art during the summer and digital during the school year. Maybe you could do that to use your supplies more?

and I am lazy but I just cleaned my room to check my supplies and it really got me in a happy traditional art mood and gave me inspiration. Maybe just looking at your supplies and thinking what to draw might get you in to drawing traditionally

ZofewaArt

well i do need the paints for school so it's not like they're all just useless waste of money. what i do in my own free time has more to do with my utter lack of motivation tbh, but i hope i finally get to do something this summer tho

i mostly do digital art but still somehow have an ungodly supply of digital art dhfjfks; i have a lot of stuff left over from my art GCSE, my family tend to buy me art stuff for Christmas because it’s the only thing they can understand out of my interests, and also even though i don’t really use them i can’t resist buying art supplies every time i see them in a store like some kind of gremlin

ChosenUndeaad

I NEED to have art supplies because I'm frequenting a comic art school and I have to draw a lot traditionally, so I tend to use supplies a lot and I always buy new ones to avoid running out of ink, pencils and papers lol

MasterShortpants

I mostly do digital art these days, but I have a handful of supplies I still use occasionally - Mostly sketchbooks and excessive amounts of pencils - and a bunch of old colored pencils still floating around my room from when I was a kid. But the biggest thing is I have a bag full of acrylic paints and brushes! I don’t use them for painting traditionally, but for re-inking my dice :0 Whenever I get a set I already own, like the Chessex Pound-o-Dice exclusives when the dice bins get refilled, I’ll paint em up different colors to make em more unique and interesting to look at! Off the top of my head, I’ve got a green speckled set with blue numbers and a blue speckled set with copper - I’m thinking the blue sets would look nice with orange and a bright, obnoxious pink next time I pick some more up :d And of course I plan to use these paints to color and ink the dice I make, too!

Rosakura

I have a ton of traditional art supplies but most of it I never even opened cause I do all my art digitally and its all old gifts

Pepperly

Too many sketchbooks, a bunch of watercolor sheets, copic markers, off-brand alcohol markers that work with copics brilliantly, watercolors, acrylics, stuff for 3D felting, some sculpting stuff since I was in the process of making a pair of custom pop-figs (which I never finished for a pretty good reason lmao;;;), t-shirts and fabric paints, and who knows what else. I used to love doing traditional stuff but I just don't have the space/motivation for it anymore. :(a

Most of the storage in my bedroom is art supplies... rip lol

I've got tons of stuff for school - surfaces, paints, mediums for watercolour, oil, and acrylic, pastel, chalk, charcoal, conte... plus some lino cut stuff and normal stuff like various inks, pens, pencils, sketchbooks, markers, etc.  This takes up like a whole closet, filing cabinet, and space under my bed and by my desk.

I also have tabletop minis painting supplies - so small brushes, paints, etc plus various glues, files, primers, and varnishes I use for minis specifically.  Then there's my sculpting supplies - I do small scale stuff with polymer clay or work with mix media plastic and putty so I've got some bins of materials and tools for that.  I keep those in a shelf above my desk or jammed in my bookshelf (which is only 40% books at this point lol)

I have too much stuff someone help

Im glad Im not the only one XD
