idea suggestions- new character (furry)

hi all! i want to make a new character but i have no clue where to start. in the past, ideas have just popped into my head (sometimes a bunch of ideas at one time) i'm not sure what animal i should do. any suggestions? i was thinking of a bear or another skunk? i have no clue at the moment. just looking for some suggestions. maybe color pallet ideas? or song recs? i feel like all my creative juices have been spilled on the floor TnT tyia!!

For palette insp, might I suggest Design Seeds? There are some really nice nature-themed palettes 'u'

Think about exaggerating traits/associations you have with the animals. Here's my thoughts:

Bears: Big paws (make it ironic by having them be very gentle/delicate?), teddy bears (plush mimic monster? maybe a toymaker?), considered 'protective' (anthro bear who's a goalie in a sport?), eat salmon (a chef at a seafood place/a fisherman?)
Skunks: Stripe down the back/tail (play on the stripe - have it be a roadkill track? make it a neon/gold glowing stripe?), have a natural stink (irony - have them be a perfumer/florist?), black and white (noir themed? waiter/butler?), big floofy tail (hides things in it? a design with the tail bigger than the body?)

AtomicAdopts ahh, those are such great ideas!! i ended up coming up with a plushie looking skunk, whose stripe down the back is stitches, and his tail is part sock monkey. I'll definitely work on exaggerating pre-existing features, that's such a good idea!! i really appreciate the advice :)
