I've been in this slump the whole time I've been on this site.

No one has yet to seem interested in my characters and I want to get better ones, though for some reason no one ever wants to offer for them and it's making me sad. I have really decent OCs and are all well kept, can anyone tell me why I cannot even get character trades but people with low-quality ocs can? I make forum threads and everything!

I understand why people don't offer on my art either, It's not the greatest but it's not bad either. I've seen new beginner artists actually get paid for their work but I haven't been paid a dime.

Can someone please help me? I'd like to learn!

Frankly they're probably intimidated because your designs are so HQ, and make use of the fact that they are HQ, in terms of that part. Idk about the art, people don't ever pay me for art either and I'm SUPER LQ in terms of art tbh.

StrawberryLunala I mean im usually the one offering on OCs who are at the quality or lower quality and they reject me?

you'd be surprised how much of the trading and selling that goes on are simply factors of luck/chance and nothing to do with someone's skill and quality!
but tbh there's no possible way you can control what people choose to like and dislike lollll and most people keep their interests pretty guarded!

I think the best solution I have for your issue is having an even bigger presence and, perhaps, finding pockets of time that seem to be high-traffic, to push your stuff harder. though with this website, again, it mostly feels like chance rather than anything concrete... maybe the true suggestion is 'don't give up!'

all you can do is be present, really, and not assume or compare anything about anyone else to yourself. you're just gonna frustrate yourself w/ that line of thinking, and there will never really be an answer ;.; i mean, as long as you're not being a jerk, then just keep on keepin' on!

To be fair, the adoption center/design marketplace is usually flooded with CS-related threads, and sometimes threads like these tend to attract more attention, but as Beed suggested, don't give up, and try to be present. Don't compare anything about other people to yourself. Anyway, good luck, and just keep going.

I'm joining what Beed said, Its all about chance and adversiting ! I was reselling some adopts I got and it took me weeks before someone decided to buy it ! you just have to be patient and hope for someone to finally buy it ! A thing that helps is to put your art and characters everywhere you can so the most people can see this (like putting them on different websites ) !
