I don't know anything about pricing art dolls, but how long do these take you? How much do materials cost? Think about these things to make sure you're not charging less than you're putting into them.
They're really cool by the way; good luck!
So I'm looking to eventually open up custom art dolls for practice (please note I'm still decently new to art doll making! I don't want to price my customs too much because of that!)
But I'm really stuck on what to price them, I currently only have two available art dolls to show the quality of my work (both are WIPs but one is more finished then the other who is currently a head on a wire body)
I don't know if for the first slot I open, if I should make them a flat sale, auction or maybe an OTA instead. Any help is hugely appreciated! <3
Examples of my dolls;
They tend to take 3-4 days if I work on them diligently (though typically I work on them at the weekends/my spare time) and the fur costs about £25+ per meter (I use less then this amount for each doll however, probably 1/5 for each doll), and maybe on average £3 worth of clay per doll
And thank you! <3
Aaa okay! Thank you very much <3
Yeah I've seen better made art dolls go for quite a lot, though I know I'm probably not close to that skill yet so don't want to price them too much. 60 does sound like a more reasonable price c:
