Has anyone here ever written poems, rhymes, filk songs etc. of their stories or characters? If so - wanna share? (maybe with a few words for context)
I tend to find it hard to rhyme in English but I've got a few of my own - some better, some worse.
A poem that sums up Julia Wright/Henry Newman
To live my life the way I want
I've weaved a web of lies
One wrong move unravels it
Revealing my disguise
An English spy, a self-made man
Or german actress, lies awake
Through the night whilst pondering:
Which life's real and which the fake?
I've weaved myself a web of lies
To live the life I want
One wrong move will tear down this

Hehlels arc (angel accidentally starts the apocalypse, gets sent to Hell by the entity she summoned, finds out it's nice there), set to the tune of Jingle bells (originally in a christmas card I sent to my game master)
♪ Dashing through Hell's caves
Trying to get away
From two red-eyed demon guards
Screaming all the way
But although the road was smooth
And despite my best light-spells
They caught up with me and knocked me out
Then dragged me to the cells!

Ulagan The Wanderer, my guilty pleasure OC who was essentially a Runeterra "fan-character" but actually a tiefling in everything but name. The text was originally supposed to be in rap-metric, in the tradition of things such as Falconshield's This is War series, but got turned into a poem with only the second verse preserving any resemblance to it's original purpose.
I call myself The Wanderer
For through Valoran I wander
From Shurima to Freljord
Setting politics asunder
I'm like the pied piper
Horned viper here to strike
And lead you astray
Create decay, for the Cause
And in my Fathers name
Acting funny, shifting blame
Not for money, not for fame
But for praise, to know I'm best
Got Hell to raise, must fill a quest:
Find the queen and shoot her dead
End the truce, then blame instead
Ionian goon or maybe Zed
And leave whilst I am still ahead
I do! I do poetry for fun all the time so it’s natural I end up writing some poems for my OCs. it’s like 6am and I need to sleep but I don’t wanna lose this thread so I’m posting first. will come back and share + respond to yours later
