Will Eclipse make you leave deviantart?

1. Are you leaving or staying? And why?

So far I'm staying, because I have gotten somewhat used to the layout itself. It's ugly and I don't like how dysfunctional and broken it is, but I can live with it. The only thing that might make me want to leave or at the very least spend coniderably less time there is if the image quality will stay as deep fried and hyperzoomed jpg.

2. If you leave, where will you be going to? Which are good sites to meet weird/artsy people?

I have used twitter simultaneously with dA to post art since 2012 I think, so I'll just continue using that site. I'll also probably focus more on pillowfort

3. Do you think, we can get them to migrate to Toyhouse? xD

TH isn't really an art site as much as it's an OC archive and a place to sell/trade/buy art and adopts, so I don't think it's really a feasible option to "replace" deviantART. I know some people do keep their art here too as separate "characters" but that's really not the intended way to use the site, and so I imagine there would eventually be problems trying to use TH the way art sites are used, as that isn't its purpose. Furthermore, you wouldn't be able to post any fanart here unless the image features at least one of your own characters.

I am staying, eclipse is ok for me in general, I just hope they'll make adding pictures to groups easier, ehh. But I'll also be more active on twitter and pillowfort

1. Are you leaving or staying? And why?
I'm leaving. I won't delete my account or anything, but I find Eclipse basically unusable. Over the past few months I've tried to switch from the old site to the new one (because this was all inevitable, sadly) and every time I've just struggled to adapt and end up switching back within hours or days. It's been designed with investors in mind (all pretty and modern) rather than the actual users (bad UX).

2. If you leave, where will you be going to? Which are good sites to meet weird/artsy people?
Well I've been meaning to update my Instagram and Twitter, so I might try and get on top of those. Maybe start a tumblr or an art station to meet more artsy people? I need to get back in the swing of making art and just decide from there haha~

3. Do you think, we can get them to migrate to Toyhouse? xD
I've already conviced a few people to try out TH, now all we need are the codes! To be fair, this is more of an OC organisation tool than an art site, but I could see a lot of people who fit this niche wanting to spend more time here than on DA haha

I am new to DA so I don’t really know what the old DA was like. But the layout confuses me to death and it makes me not want to be on there so yeah. I’m already inactive there anyways, only going to DA if I really have to. I don’t know many websites to go to, I’m on Instagram so I’ll probably just stay there. Also thinking of getting back to being active on DrawCast as well.

Staying but only in terms of uploading new art as fast as possible and then fuck off until I draw something again. Not gonna be actively interacting with the site anymore when the garbage layout is giving me migraines but some people only follow me on that site, so might as well just put the art up there for them to see.

I'm more active here on th and tumblr anyway and wanted to check out pillowfort, good time to do so i guess.

I'm likely staying and keeping my acc but... I wasn't as active there in the first place so I doubt that would change. The only sole reason I still try to post artworks there is because a friend of mine doesn't use other social media, dA is the only way I could contact them. Also because I still use Sta.sh as my main platform of storing commissions piece, which would be a bummer if Sta.sh is affected by the JPEG image compression that Eclipse caused? 

Honestly, I still can't find my place in dA. I don't think I gained any commissions or have an active audience there for many years now.

2. If you leave, where will you be going to? Which are good sites to meet weird/artsy people?

I'm already on Twitter/Insta which... frankly I'm not made for it lol (I was never a "trending hashtag" kind of person and picky about these art challenges) but it's much easier to find great artists on either sites due to the fact everyone is moving to Twitter and Insta now. If anything I feel like I gain the most audience and commissioners here on Toyhouse much better than most sites, haha. 

I might be trying out other art sites though, which I've seen like three that aims to replace dA? But I'm keeping expectations low.

1. I'm not sure whether I would leave or not. But, right now, I'll still stay here, since I've been only using the old layout most of the time, and not the Eclipse one. Eclipse's layout just gives me a headache. Once the old layout gets killed off for good, my activity there may get stuck in limbo, because two of the CS groups that I'm more active in now have their own websites.

All in all though, I'm just barely active on DA in general unless it's for CS.

2. I already have an Art Twitter (Which... used to be my only account) that I only use for posting art. Haha. However, I'm considering about using Pillowfort a lot more though, but right now, I'm currently on hiatus from that site until I decide to move on from DA. Time will just tell.

ETA: I'm also planning on reopening commissions on both here and twitter, once I become an adult and get myself a PayPal. I'm turning 18 this year, and it's pretty much my main goal atm.

1. I'm staying! I pretty much use it just to shop anyway, so as long as there's artists there that're still staying and selling I'll keep hanging around. 

2. I use mainly twitter to post my art now, but it's not exactly a "gallery" the way DA is and there's so much irrelevant crap that it's hard to use it as a shopping platform, unless I'm on it constantly which I'm really not. Obviously, I also use toyhouse! But it also cannot function as a replacement for DA . . . though at least it's easier to shop on than twitter. 

1. I am leaving deviantart not becacuse of the Eclipse stuff but because of how deviantart is managed and because rn deviantart is just a synonim for cringe and it's not enjoyable. I will still keep my account up since I still use sta.sh

2.i am just going to stay in toyhouse until I find something better or perharps go back to DA if things get better

1. staying, tho i stopped actively using it over a year ago bc i hate the group/tagging system it makes a simple upload take like 30m for me rip
in saying that, i'm probably one of the few that actually likes the new layout tho it did take a bit of getting used to

2. honestly i only rly use toyhouse as a main art site now even tho that's not what it's for technically, i hate tumblr, i hate deviantart, i find twitter unusable, and i loathe furaffinity - i think the main thing i'm active on is like... instagram? the only thing i dislike abt insta is tagging and how pics have a like... shape limit (? like u can't post full rectangles w/o it force cropping it smaller)

I'm staying - I don't like the changes, but there just isn't anywhere else for me to post art or original stories where they would get seen. Of course I post some stuff here on TH, but it's not the main point of this site to showcase art. I know a lot of people are moving to Instagram, but considering it's basically impossible to post anything unless you use mobile I'm not going there. DA might suck, but everything else sucks more in my opinion.

Plus, I don't have any immediate plans of abandoning the ARPG group I play in on DA.
