Welcome to the IdolMon Paradise!

Since no one has posted yet, I think i'll make the first post to try and get the conversation going, hopefully...

Anyway, the mon series I like the most are Pokémon as well as Digimon, though i'm interested in giving Yu-Gi-Oh! as well as Bakugan a try c:

And the idol series I like most are Love Live! and Idolmaster and i'd like to give AKB0048 a try x3

And i'm also, possibly, the first person to ever have a serious attempt at a crossover AU or two for crossovers between mons series and idol series, for example, the Pokémon/Love Live! AU I write for/get art for on dA and a Digimon/Idolmaster one that I haven't done much for yet outside of one story so far as well as deciding on what partner Digimon the Idolmaster girls should have in it :>

In future posts, if I can remember how I got into Pokémon, i'll talk about how I first got into that as well as Love Live!, Digimon and Idolmaster uwu

And interesting about Digimon, and from what i've read online about Tamers, you aren't alone in having it as your favorite season uwu XD

And in my case, i'd say the original Adventure season is my favorite, but that's due to it being the one i'm most familiar with so far, and that may change once I watch the other seasons/series :>

And interesting, and I have played the original SIF/School Idol Festival, though I stopped since on an older phone I had before, the internal storage was running out so i had to delete it, though i'm considering getting back into it and getting into SIF ALL STARS too uwu

And i've heard of the other games before, especially Enstars and iMas Shiny Colors x3

And yeah, that sucks, though i've never played a mobile game that changed entirely on me like that in the gameplay XD

And nice choices for the characters from the franchises you mentioned :3

From LL!, some of my favorites are Shizuku, Emma, Rina, Ai, Ayumu, Honoka, Maki, Nico, Kotori, You, Ruby, Kanan (Sunshine), Mari and Kanon (Superstar) and from iMas so far, Haruka, Iori, Yayoi, the Futami twins, The blonde girl with green eyes whose name I forgot, Ritsuko, Rin, Clarice and a few girls from Shiny Colors whose names I forgot as well :3 XD

And understandable about not having an interest in other mons series and growing out of Pokémon, at least to some extent c:

I hope you're having fun replaying Shadows of Almia :3 I recently replayed White 2 and HeartGold on a DS emulator on my Android phone recently, and it brought back good memories of when I played those for the first time c:

While i'm okay with Ash and whatnot, I do wish there was a full anime series of Pokémon that's more like the Adventures manga, Origins and Generations, which have darker moments and Origins and Generations seem to be for adult fans of the franchise, but at least we have an acceptable substitute in the form of Tokimeki PokéLive! and Twinbee, a more older teen/adult aimed Pokémon, Love Live!, Tokimeki Memorial and Twinbee AU of mine that takes inspiration from Origins and Generations and is an adaptation of SIF ALL STARS as well as the main Pokémon games and has lots of darker moments and backstory as well as an overall more mature feel to it >:3 XD

I guess I'll bite too my friends are all busy with their lives and working I need somewhere to just mess around for a bit jagoia

Lets see I think the only mon thing I'm really into is Pokemon probably. I was VERY into Digimon Frontier though growing up but it's the only digimon season I really ever watched and kept up with. Even now it's by far my favorite and there's a TON of nostalgia I have for it. One of these days I want to rewatch... (I have a lion pillow I even named after one of the characters as a kid jagiao). Like I said, though, Pokemon has always been my go-to series. My history with it is kind of weird?? I seem to recall starting with the original anime but my first pokemon video game was actually Pokemon Stadium on the N64. I didn't get into the main series until R/S/E where Ruby was my first main series game, though I did eventually buy and play Sapphire and Emerald as well (Emerald being my favorite). Because I grew up on those games Gen 3 is by far my favorite generation and I regularly play randomizers of Emerald for fun. Many of my favorite pokemon also tend to be from gen 3 lol (Flygon being #1). Naturally my favorite season of the pokemon anime is also the one focusing on Gen 3 (Drew best character). I tend to play the older pixel-style games more often than the 3D ones though. Currently I'm playing through BW on PokeMMO with a friend! We're almost finished and just have to go through the elite four and final team plasma confrontation.

On to idols (I can already tell this is going to be long whoops!). My first ever gacha game and idol game was the original LLSIF! I started around the time it had JUST come to the English server and played it for years but did drop off sometime before All Stars. My favorites were always Hanayo and Hanamaru (as I felt most similar to Hanamaru). I've tried a bunch of idol games since then (IdolM@ster, Enstars, I-Chu, LL All Stars, Uta no prince-sama, and band games like Bandori and Band yarouze ect). Plus plenty of other anime gacha games that are sort of similar. Some of them lasted longer than others but the only game that I've tried and stuck with since its very beginning has been IDOLiSH7!

Like mentioned before I started Idolish7 RIGHT as it first was released. It was my second idol game after Love Live and I've been with it the entire time. I could probably write a novel on why I adore it so much but this is going to be long enough as it is ajgaiog needless to say, though, it will probably always be my favorite and go-to Idol series (and series in general). I adore everything about it from art to characters to story to music to the anime. Man when IDOLiSH7 got its first anime season I was SO worried they would screw it up but they did SO well adapting the game story... Season 2 just released this year but, thanks to the pandemic, they had to put it on hold. However!!! It's starting up again tomorrow and I'm SO excited... the pandemic has been putting a lot of stuff relating to IDOLiSH7 on hold but I'm glad we'll be able to continue the anime at least. On that same note although the Einsatz album isn't releasing until end of November we got the full version of one of ZOOL's new songs and it's SO GOOD... I've been listening to 4-ROAR All Day.

When it comes to favorite characters I honestly have a really tough time choosing. Riku, Momo, and Touma probably tie for #1 but after that I adore pretty much everyone (side characters included). I can't even really choose my favorite idol units because they're all wonderful, though music wise ZOOL might be my favorite?? Maybe the songs are really good so it's hard to choose ajgoai. Especially a lot of the solo songs.... also, on a side tangent, one of my favorite things about the IDOLiSH7 game is their yearly tradition (except this year because. You know.) to hold HUGE "AU" events. They're events centered around the Ichiban Kuji but recently the writers have been coming up with entire Alternate Universe stories to go with the events and they're SO GOOD. For the past two years they even made fully-fledged theme songs for the stories!! Celestial Pilgrimage was probably my favorite (the visuals for the different worlds they created were BEAUTIFUL) but Mechanical Lullaby and the one that happened a year ago (can't remember the name) were also fantastic. I just think it's really cool that the IDOLiSH7 team have fun with AUs ajgoia.

Alright one more thing and I'll stop but one of my favorite things to do when playing through pokemon games is to do randomized nuzlockes. I just find them really fun and, of course, one of my favorite nuzlockes is to do the idolocke. I've only ever successfully completed one of them (in Heartgold) but since I like both idols and pokemon it was fun to do. I think I still have the google docs document I wrote in to chronicle my Idolocke journey somewhere....

Oof this ended up being long but it was fun to just ramble for awhile. Back to listening to 4-ROAR I suppose!

And interesting, and I remember getting into Pokémon through watching some episodes of the anime originally, and I first played Fire Red through a GBA emulator back in mid-2010 and I was hooked on the games after that :> The first Pokémon game I actually brought was HeartGold and I also remember buying Black, White 2, Alpha Sahpphire and Ultra Moon before and I brought Sword when I got my Switch Lite back in May too uwu

And good luck with finishing BW1 too :3

And my favorite human characters are Hilda, Rosa, Yancy and Serena (From the games) as well as Risa and Margo (From the anime, though Risa and Margo are from the AU movie The Power of Us XD)

And I have all sorts of favorite Pokémon from all gens, but it would take too long to list them all XDD

And nice, I started with the original LL! SIF too but I am looking to get back into it as well as ALL STARS when I get the chance~

As I mentioned to another user, one of my favorites is Shizuku, since I like her personality, she'd be easy to get along with if she existed irl and on my end, I ship her in an amazing crossover pairing that involves her and Hilda :33
