Thoughts on "Dreamie folders"?

I honestly don't feel one way or another, overall on it?

 I can see how it could make people anxious or upset though, specially if they are worried about someone trying to hound them for the character, or possibly trying to steal it. [ I have heard several horror stories about both with characters in dreamy folders ] 

But on the flip side of this I can also see how it could be super flattering to know that a character you adore is gaining attention as adored by others too. 

So for me personally.. I really don't mind, as long as its not someone who has a history of stealing/hounding people for their characters. ^=^;

I don't think it's ever happened to me but I know I'd be really happy that they liked the character that much, I wouldn't tell them to take the character off though, if they really like the character I don't wanna keep them from looking at them cause i feel that would be rude of me-

It doesn't sit right with me, I don't like the idea of someone faving obviously permanently homed/personal characters with the intention of keeping an eye on them in hopes they'll go up for sale/trade in the future. My view on this probably stems from the fact I'm not a part of the adoptables side of the site though.

I don't sell my characters so I have a different viewpoint but if people like them enough to categorize them that highly I'd be flattered, tbh

I usually don't care for dreamy folder in general, unless my designs or OCs was in the dreamy folder of a person who specifically have something I want currently UFT.

But it never really happened and I usually just don't care as long as they don't contacting me to ask since I don't have any interest in trading/selling my OCs.

It's just a weird thought to me because nobody in my life has ever liked a character of mine so much that they might actually want to own it. Thus why I don't even bother with those "DON'T ASK FOR/DON'T STEAL MY CHARACTERS!" warnings, I feel too silly, like, my characters are not that desirable. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'd probably be really flattered if one were put in such a folder but not do anything about it because nobody of mine would ever be for trade/sale anyway.

Idc if its on UFT stuff, but I think its kind of rude to wish list/dreamy folder forever homed characters if the owners aren't comfortable with it. If they are then go nuts I guess. I'm biased though because of bad experiences.

I really dont mind it at all tbh. Unless the person is 100% expecting to receive the character in question, or if they’re actively sending people over to the character to offer on it, I could care less. It actually makes me happy seeing my characters on dreamie lists! Im glad that my characters can bring joy, and motivation to others! But even if my characters were put on a dreamie list that someone would be interested in receiving in the future, as long as the person isn’t straight up harassing me for them, what’s the harm in it? 

To me i don’t really see dreamie folders as a “Hey, hey guys, get me these characters now no question“ or a “give them to me now” type of thing, i just see it as a folder filled with characters that a person likes. Heck, I have a dreamie folder, and I’m not 100% expecting to receive any of the characters in the folder (obv, since I have like over 300 characters in there  kskfkdkdjffj. Don’t think I’d want that many Dreamies). It’s just a place to bookmark designs that I adore!
