How do you react to them? (hypothetical)

80 Votes I would love it, but probably not contact the person

Hey Toyhouse! I don't make too many forum threads, though I've been kinda curious about a topic I've seen brought up somewhat often with usually mixed perspectives on it. What are your thoughts on "dreamie folders"? Do you like seeing your characters added to them, or do you prefer people don't do that? You can also add your reasons as to why, I'd love to hear what you people think.

Anyway, I don't really plan on creating one myself in case you're wondering if that's why I made this. I guess trying to have my sights set on one character, let alone several, is just something I'm too lazy for wijofjioeg. If one of my characters ever got added to one, though, I might actually find it quite flattering honestly! Though I'd probably let the person know at some point if the design is something I'm keeping, just so they're aware. What would you do, though?

For me, it depends on the OC. I don’t mind my OCs being added to dreamie folders as long as the person is aware that I most likely will never actually have the OC up for offers and doesn’t try to offer on it anyway. If the person tries to actually offer on the OC despite it being tagged as forever homed, though, I may end up just blocking them depending on the character. Adding my sonas to dreamie folders, however, is a hard no from me. My sonas represent me irl in some way, some of them even share similar physical features to me irl, and regardless of the reason, I find it creepy that someone would see my sonas, characters who are basically fictional versions of me, as “dreamies”. I’d definitely block the person or at least remove their favorite if I found that they added my sona to a dreamie folder. I may also get a little uncomfortable if someone added one of my major comfort characters (ex. Snowbear, Marino, etc) because I am 1000% sure that I’d never be able to willingly get rid of them because of how attached I am to them, and I don’t like the fact that someone else wants them. Although this wouldn’t be as uncomfortable as having my sonas added to dreamie folders.

I don't care.. if someone adds my character to a dreamie folder, cool. That's nice. It's a compliment IMO, they like my OC so much they wish they could own it... what's wrong with that? I 99% won't give my character away ever, so It's not like they're gonna get it. I'm confused why people get 'so offended over it. If the person is like an OC thief or copies OCs then I'm gonna be on edge about them putting it in a dreamie folder, but other than that I don't care.

If it's an OC I'm never going to give away and someone puts it in a dreamie folder, it's fine, I'm not going to give them it anyways so I don't see the big deal lol. It's just a favorite

I just turn favorites off because favorites make me uncomfortable in general. I allow my closest friends to favorite my characters but otherwise, I delete all favorites from my characters. I just don't like the idea of people adding them to their "shopping lists"

I like them simply because I don’t view them as wishlists or shopping carts.

I know there’s ppl out there who treat them as such which is a little odd but in general I sort of just see them as “super favs”

Idk, I think it’s cool that someone could see my OCs as dreamies! As long as they aren’t asking for them or trying to offer on one’s tagged “don’t offer”
