I don't know how popular MeWe actually is compared to places like Twitter or Insta, but I usually don't find people offsite of MeWe that have a MeWe account. If they do have one, I wouldn't know, since I haven't seen many people mention MeWe accounts. I'm pretty inactive on MeWe now, since most of my MeWe friends that I typically interacted with a lot are no longer active on there. :(
Most users on here probably have a large social media platform, like twitter or instagram. But I was wondering, does anyone have accounts on more unsual or "underground" places.
For example, I have an account on mastodon.art, its fairly quiet, but it has a nice vibe to it and it'd be lovely to find mutuals to follow. I even created a newgrounds account after the great tumblr purge that isn't currently in use so I wanted to see if anyone else has done the same. Post them if you want as well, I love learning about new corners of the web.
I joined Newgrounds with all the FNF kids and now that most of them have moved on, the site's a lot more chill. I love the portals, there's always something going on in the community (soon is pixel day and flash day, and there's a couple other interesting events right now).
I kind of forgot about Pillowfort and Mastodon and haven't used either for very long.
Joined Newgrounds last year bc I was sick of using DA as a main platform & idk why I haven't joined sooner. It's great having a place outside of bigger social media + compared to DA it seems like the site staff's doing much better with community events & interaction (but IG part of that is because the site's smaller)
i made a Mastodon acc around the time of the NSFW ban, but I never used it (first experience was not being able to filter NSFW, so)
I used to use Google+ before it shut down, and while it wasn't really super small.. it was very small considering it was owned by one of the largest companies on earth. After its shut down, people tried to revamp it with things like Aternos, MeWe, Discord Servers, and other smaller social media sites like "Goggle+".. But as you can guess, they didn't take off anywhere, either..
So yeah, I used to, but not anymore. Nowadays I mainly use Discord, Twitter, and Reddit, with some occasional instagram
been looking for a fediverse node to post art into but i never really found one that appealed to me (yet)
i use spacehey but i don't use that often but if you're a fan of retro internet spaces, go check it out.
SketchersUnited is where algorithm will not punch you in the face for sharing art! Everything is divided in nice lil sectors (eg. Adoptables, Fanart, Tutorials) so things aren’t cluttered and easy to get by as an artist.
