i never cared about any of the blasé teen relationship drama. so i don't have much to say about that. i didnt care about who tori kissed or any of that. i just cared that she was a poorly written marysue. woulda been a more enjoyable show if andre or robbie was the primary protag because they carried that show lmao

edit: ok to elaborate more, i personally disliked her because she's an informed character. we're told that, for example, she's a superstar singer but frankly the rest of the cast have better vocal performances. (especially the woman that plays jade, and it stinks because jade was another very poorly written character that had so much potential). and the characters are always making comments about how gorgeous she is, to the point that its creepy. 

the show itself had a lot of potential but the fact that it ended up boiling down to only teenage angst and relationship drama ruined it for me. its the same thing that spoiled icarly. if i wanted to watch teen angst i'd go watch degrassi gdi.

pinstripe Fair Enough. I do agree that her character should've been written better. Not to say she was bad at singing, but some of the other casts stood out with their voices (Cat most likely).

though i don't want to sound too biased, i'll admit i'm not really fond of victoria's nasally sounding voice. i much prefer elizabeth gillies' more mature sounding voice. her performances remind me a lot of early paramore and p!nk

Honestly I thought Tori was as close to perfect as perfect can be. Even from the first episode. She was able to get on stage and preform a whole ass song with no stage fright. And it just so happens that she happens to be a decent singer, even better than her sister (though I find that hilarious ngl).

Also her reactions to Jade’s actions were bit…unbelievable…not unrealistic, cuz there are genuinely nice people out there, but I think every person has a limit. The end of the scene fighting episode was so unsatisfying, like who the hell would honestly accept a lower grade for the sake of turning the other cheek?? ?? The only time we see her being vengeful is at the end of the Pilot, and when she sprayed cheese on Cat and her boyfriend. Now that seems like something a teenager would do.

so long story short, no I don’t hate Tori, or any of the cast members rennet, and Jade should definitely not be considered the victim lol. I just think Tori has too little/insignificant flaws compared to everyone else. Now that I think about it she’s just a toned down version of Carly

Honestly compared to the rest of the characters she was very boring.. I liked Andre and Beck the most personally, but besides them as a child I liked all of the characters but Robbie, Tori and Trina.. 

As I've gotten older I've realized Robbie's an okay character, but the other two..? Just boring. For a main character they have such little personality compared to the others. One's just an annoying younger sibling, and One's just a "talented" musician.. and that's about all I can remember about Tori. Her character was bland compared to the other 8(?) main characters that we get in the show, and it just makes her very unlikable in comparison since the others are so.. y'know.. interesting. 

And the fact they have literally Ariana Grande in the show and try to portray Tori as a better singer is crazy.. of course she's not horrible but damn, it's hard to pull off a talented character when you're facing them against one of the biggest singers in the world and Elizabeth Gillies who obviously had more experience than Victoria..

Also, Tori is just so spiteful over nothing. She's rude to her younger sister even if she's not being annoying, and her competitiveness with Jade was weird as hell during some points. Yeah, Jade is written as a bitch, but sometimes Tori's aggression towards Jade just felt so unneeded.. it felt like Tori just being mean to be mean.

Chickadde1 I respect Tori (Andre and Beck too), more than anyone else in the show. I do agree she has great vocals, though!

I definitely don't agree with her responses to Jade's actions though (or no responses). She must really want Jade to be friends with her if she's not gonna tell on her. Couldn't be me! I would've ratted her out  ! And there ain't NO WAY I'm accepting a lower grade just for her sake!

But Trina was a little... much  . Almost every character in the show couldn't stand her, lol! And to speak fairly, Jade had much more aggression on Tori that was unnecessary, which is why Tori would fight back on some occasions. That's just from my perspective, though.

Honestly, I agree that Tori was hated on too much. Yes, Tori wasn't perfect, and I agree that it wasn't right to be kissing Jade's boyfriend. However, Jade was a lot, and I mean A LOT worse when it comes to bullying. While I personally don't full-on hate Jade, I'm genuinely surprised that more people seem to choose to hate Tori over Jade.

Kawaiimarshmallowkit It's honestly ridiculous and sad how people tend to ignore Jade's actions and make Tori to be the bad guy. True, it wasn't right for Tori to kiss Beck, but Jade started it by pouring coffee on her and calling her a dog when she did nothing wrong.

Honestly Tori was one of my faves as a kid. But also I was one of those kids who liked any main character female role model in a nickelodeon show. At the time it aired, I think a lot of people who were watching it enjoyed her, and the hate didnt come until after the show finished and people went back to rewashing it for nostalgia sake. Like even me, rewatching it make me not like Tori as much but thats because I found her character bland compared to the other colorful and I guess "quirky" characters in the show. The characters I hated, like Jade, became one of my faves not because i think she hot or anything like that.... 

I think it also comes from a dislike of main characters and a love for side and supporting characters that a lot of people have when it comes to media, like television. The supporting characters just always seem to be more appealing. 

Also, a lot of it from later dates also just have a distaste for Victoria Justice as a person. I know nothing about her, but from what ive heard from internet gossiping people find that she comes off as a narcissist especially on her time on Nickelodeon. Her behavior led to a huge falling out between her and Ariana Grande which eventually led to the show being cancelled from how bad it ended up getting. 

Notice you guys are confused why so many people liked Jade, and it was simply because they thought she was hot. Her character is aggressive, rude, and supposed to be unlikable, but she's a Goth, lol. I dont know why but back then people really liked goths. I was never personally was attracted to her, cause I like guys.. and honestly I just mainly watched the show for Andre and Beck... (lol...), but for a lot of people, Jade was just hot..... And I've heard from several people that she contributed to their bisexual awakening.. 

I know that this reply may come off as weird, but that's legitimately the reasoning why people liked her so much, lol

Gooberz While she does have some nice looks, I can't say I find her personality all great. I admit, her sarcasm can be humorous, but I just don't like the way she treats Tori.
