Also suggest some good books/authors if u like to read cuz I have no idea where to go after I finish WOF. And feel free to give me your favorite book or favorite author or something, I mostly just wanna talk abt reading rn lmaooo.

Also if someone else alredy did this can someone link it? I don't wanna take an idea that already exists

Anyways I'm like a solid 2-3 on the poll. I read often but it's mostly stuff I get attached too like Warriors or recently, Wings of Fire. Though I've been getting distracted and writing my own stuff or just forgetting how books work.

It's tough because, I used to be like "Absolute bookworm" and was always insanely obsessed with books and reading high level content from a young age (read the giver in fourth grade, the entire hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series in 5th grade, ender's game in like 6th grade, armada, ready player 1, etc etc etc... -- you can tell I love science fiction LMAO --) But over time as being "good in school" actually became important and the things I needed to do starting piling up, I ended up so busy that now I barely read books at all. I just graduated highschool this summer, have a summer job, and am heading straight to college starting august 25th. Until then I was busy just barely maintaining an honor roll streak of 2 years straight right up until graduation. There's always something I have to do at any given time; I never run out of responsibilities. And I regret that the free time I do get (while sparse) is usually spent gaming or being on electronics due to my stress and insecurity making me fall hook line and sinker for the trap of "If I'm on my phone I'll have so many fun things to do and it'll feel so much better!" ....Though that's usually not the case.

When I do pick up a book, whether I be cleaning and start reading by accident, or by some other circumstance, I often find myself sucked in and end up reading the entire book in a few hours or less, and it almost does not matter what the book even is. Though the one thing I can't stand is non fiction (Unless it's about space or astronomy.) The other day I found one of my old Percy Jackson books lying around, flipped it open just out of curiosity, and before I knew it, enough time had passed that I was interrupted by my dad telling me I had to get back to work on cleaning my room. And that's the thing, there never seems to be enough time to read for me. If I don't even have enough time -- without interruption -- to just sit down and enjoy plowing through a whole book in a few hours, can it really be said that I have enough time to do this as a hobby? I hate putting down a book before having finished it somehow; sure there's suspense but for me it feels like it should be finished in one sitting. It's kind of like me with art; when I start, I hate to get interrupted until I'm finished, since I get in the zone. It's the same with reading.

To be honest, I don't read much anymore, but I'd consider myself a bookworm at heart. I just wish I had enough time on my hands to re-indulge in it as a hobby again! TwT

I haven't finished a 'proper' book in absolutley ages - 2020, I think? Ended up donating a ton of the books I had as I just wasn't gonna read them, but every so often, I'll read an absolute boatload of fanfictions of series I like. Like quite a few others, I'm definitley still a bookworm at heart, and I definitley want to start reading more.

As for book/author recommendations, I have two 'lesser known' ones.

First is a series called Deltora Quest by Emily Rodda - I'm pretty sure its for preteens/early teenagers, but I adore it. It's set in a land/country called Deltora, and this young peasant boy named Leif is sent out on his 16th birthday to go retrieve 7 gems that go on a belt his father gave him. He ends up travelling with a 'homeless' man that has lived outside Leif's family's house since before Leif was born, plus a third character.  It has a second and third series as well (quite a bit darker), as well as a manga and an anime (linked here). I love the series so much, and even though it isn't a very well known series, I adore it. (Just so you know, the series are split up by book - there are 8 books I believe in the first series, three in the second and 4 in the third. There are combined versions which have all the books from a series in the one book). The Author has a whole bunch of other books as well, set in the same universe, too.

Second series is Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. It's a six book series, that I believe is finished, and has a movie version of the first book (not too accurate). I don't want to spoil it too much as I feel like I could by just writing the stuff that happens in the first couple chapters. The story uses tons of old, vintage pictures to help tell its story, and its just amazing. The 'peculiar children' are all loveable, adorable kids, and so is the titular Miss Peregrine. I love this series to death, and how Ransom Riggs writes it? Just amazing, like *chef's kiss*. I reccomend that you read the series before you watch the movie, as the movie doesn't follow on, and as far as I know, no sequel is being planned.

Lemme know if you'd like more info!

i read sososo much! right now i'm reading two different series daily - the Eragon saga, which i read in my free time during the day, and The Alchemyst series, which i read before bed. Honestly, the Alchemyst is a bit too... Young Adult-y for my tastes by now, but I started it a few years ago, never finished it, and now I gotta see it to the end, you know?

as for some recommendations ... the abovementioned Eragon series is definitely great, but at present I'm also really enjoying DiscWorld by Terry Pratchett. It's really witty and has a delightfully fun world to explore. Though I only got about 5 chapters in, Amber Skies by The Caretaker is also really good, and you can read it online entirely for free! It's content-heavy, but focuses on a sort of post-apocalyptic, far future fantasy/sci-fi setting, heavy on exploration and untold mysteries. If you're into that kind of thing, definitely give it a try!
