Since the original Unpopular Opinion Thread is locked (it turned into a shit-show reeeaaal fast) , I've gotten permission to remake it.
I've decided to use the original rules for the thread since those were gucci

I kind of just want to watch a show or a movie, or read a book, where love plays no part. Ever. No romantic tensions, no "for my love", no "I'm looking for a true partner" just a bunch of platonic pals on an adventure or something

I don't like it too much when people type like an actual toddlers when it comes to certain words or mannerisms. That or if they spell words terribly on purpose. I legitimately think it's because there's usually a certain personality type that comes with that. I really should figure out why it gets on my nerves so much.
Ex. "shes a babey...,,,,uwu", "sksksksk"

WestSparrow i think the "hype" surrounding furbies is bc theyre the subject of so many nightmare fuel rumors and honestly like.. well deserved just look at them AGBSHjdlkgsd while i know ppl who like furbies, none of them are in denial whatsoever that theyre creepy as fuck lol

- the concept of paid myo slots is capitalism, simple as that. im not saying its a bad thing, it just is (and quite frankly is fascinating!), but people seem to take massive offense to that whenever i mention in passing n get real defensive ?__? eeeh.
- anyone else struggle with kemonomimi as a concept? if i have them in modern settings i always end up bothered to the point where it becomes sci fi or fantasy trying to explain why some rando ppl have cat ears and others dont @ _@ ; sometimes i am able to trick myself into believing it just be like that tho...
Yes!! About the kemonomimi. I'm unfamiliar with the MYO slots thing, but I do get confused about how to mix kemonomimi characters in a world that is set in real life. It's an easy fix, you either decide that's it's normal and some people just have animal ears/tails (I mean the designs are really cute), but their character is just a special case and it should be treated as such.
Don't get me wrong, kemonomimi is super cute, but when I write it I just find that it gets in the way of things or that it's unnecessary.

the only thing interesting about it for me, personally, are some of the character designs. i love some of the more modern outfits they have.
Agreed. The designs are oddly intriguing to me. That and if you at least add nekomimi features on a human, they are instantly more interesting to me than regular humans.
And am I the only one who's like this? I don't like humans overall personally. But add cat ears and a tail? Then they are more interesting and to me, they feel like they're more worth my time. I kinda feel guilty over this since this seemed to upset someone, although, I now really dislike them for other reasons. (They tried to make me look on the good side of humans, but all the negatives of what we do outweigh the good for me) Maybe this is because I always liked reading/watching/playing stories about animals and fictional creatures over people since they were always interesting to me and my bad life experience and all the negative news you hear everywhere makes me kinda hate humans, especially in real life.
^ Not really that weird...Tbh I find it weird when I see a character on TH that could just be a human you meet on the street, with no real special backstory or story, y'know. It's like...do you have rl friends??? I also feel ya on the dislike of humans, some humans make me lose faith in my own species.
