Since the original Unpopular Opinion Thread is locked (it turned into a shit-show reeeaaal fast) , I've gotten permission to remake it.
I've decided to use the original rules for the thread since those were gucci

It's so dumb. Why can't we have more contests, secret bases, etc? Those were fun to me. Give them back. We don't need giant pokemon, Game Freak or whoever decided to put that in the games.
There is a single use for Dynamax! The only use for Dynamax is for DeviantArt and FurAffinity to gain an(other, Pokémon Amie exists) actual reason to fetishize Pokémon characters.

*joins the Pokemon discussion* I agree! Dynamax is great for memes but the novelty wears off really fast (especially since we won't even be able to DO IT TO EVERY POKEMON). I just want more Unova! That movie making thing? I don't even remember it well, but it's there, and I had so much fun with it! And contests! I loved contensts! Now we get "haha big.......". Dynamax is just Z-moves but now for three turns. And I found Z-moves very disappointing apart from the cute animations for Pokemon-specific moves, they were pretty cute...
Also, they need to stop replying on nostalgia, at least on Kanto nostalgia. My nostalgia is with Johto and Unova (HeartGold and Black), and I'm sure it's great for the people who truly grew up with Pokemon, but I'm sure it's probably worn off by now. I want more Totodile and Tepig, Charmander's had enough time in the limelight! (if you like Charmander and Kanto that's 100% valid I'm just angry at how much they rely on Kanto for everything now sdilfdsuhf)
God, I do have some Kanto nostalgia, but it comes mainly from FRLG. My nostalgia comes from gen 3 as a whole - and it seems like Gamefreak's forgotten the shadow pokemon games. God, I would love to get Genius Sonority to make remakes or a sequel or SOMETHING besides pokemon shuffle!

I'm sick of Kanto and gen one pandering at this point. Its been around seven or so years now (with X/Y). Stop trying to pander to the kids that have been pandered to since 2013. Move onto Johto or some other generation for Christ's sake. Or should I say, Arceus' sake? ...I'm so sorry-

At this point I’m very on the fence about buying swsh, it’s really losing its charm for me although I’ll always have fond memories of watching the first seasons of the anime and playing the games
Unrelated unpopular opinion: I don’t really like (domestic) cats much. Some are pretty cute, but in general I couldn’t care about them and wouldn’t have one as a pet if I had the option. Birds and dogs generally are much better and more friendly/social pets imo

Same here. I'm tempted to give up on the series itself. Someone pointed out in a video that PoGo has, in a way, ruined the series and I agree. The thing I came for the series for is now not even a main priority and they are starting to get worse and worse. I don't care for the mobile games and I didn't like the main series games as much since gen six and now, they don't even make spin-offs anymore. I don't have much to look forward to for that series other than hoping my friends will replay a game with me as I don't replay games unless a friend decides to because I will drop it half-way if I don't.
I'm not into posting on threads like this, but yeah, I agree with the kanto/gen1 pandering. I've lost interest in the series a few months after SuMo came out. SwSh is really disappointing to me so far, but I'll give the new pokemon/characters a pass, since I'm very neutral with them.
Also, not an unpopular opinion, but GameFreak's been very lazy since Gen 6 too. The graphics/models in SwSh so far are... ehhh...
and here I was, excited for the possibility of some of my favorite pokemon to get mega evolutions :')
Historia It’s because they’re the same quality they’ve been since Gen 6, but unlike the 3DS, the Switch can actually handle it. Plus, Dynamax makes it even more obvious.
