heya!! so...

RPG Maker games!!! *Wolf RPG Editor (e.g. Lieat series) counts too

what're your fav(s)?

i definitely like a ton of them, but recently i looked into Witch's Heart (not the witch's house,, but that one's cool too, i just saw the mv's "extra mode" with adjusted puzzles) and that was rly cool!!

Akari-Yuu

Mine would have to be any game by Deep Sea Prisoner/Mogeko! They are cute games with very dark stories. My favorite would have to be Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, followed by The Grey Garden.
Other than them, I also really enjoyed To The Moon, which is apparently getting an anime! A movie to be exact ~ [ https://anilist.co/anime/102288/To-The-Moon/ ]
My last favorite would have to be Dreamtalia, A Hetalia fangame! It has a great and really sad story, which is very unique ~ It's set in a dream world ^^ It uses tarot card/arcanas as characters in the dream world.

Akari-Yuu those games are cute for sure!!

Phantomsurf :eyes emoji: hjadkasdas i totally forgot heartbeat was made in rm! im def thinking of getting it b/c my gaming friends n sibling loved it sm (b/c theyre the pixel art obsessed) 8D rpg maker games are just a goldmine of indiestuff huhah (except that cherry-something one by capcom, as far as i know)

Tendo64

EVERYONE is going to judge me for this but I really liked Mario: The Music Box. It's weird and out of place for a Mario fangame but that's what makes it cool, takes a light-hearted character into a darker world. I liked all the different endings you could get and it actually frightened me a few times, which is rare.

CookieMonsterCrumble LOL no shame bruh. actually. that's pretty high quality even among rpg maker games?????? i think the reason it was mario is because... mario's famous and all,, more "nintendo mainstream"(tm) gamers stream it n things b/c of that x> that's p cool!

Nork

Rpg maker games are near and dear to my heart and sadly I haven't gotten to play any lately. They're why I'm a game designer (thus they are also why I don't have time to play games, ironically)

I believe that Ib is a fantastic game. Its puzzles are really immersive and the use of the rose as the HP bar is 👌👌👌 I use ib as an example a lot

Also I still love Off. I really love Mortis Ghost's art style, and the overall aesthetic of the game is really good. It's minimalist and unique and even if the gameplay's not the best I have to acknowledge some of the really good design put at the last chapter of the game.

Also really love LISA the Painful but I haven't gotten to finish it yet bc my save file is on a USB somewhere and also an indecisive person playing LISA is never going to get anywhere lol

Oh my God I forgot something. First I forgot Yume Nikki, but we all know that's a classic. I forgot SPACE FUNERAL!! I loved Space Funeral a LOT. I even made a leg horse figurine but idk where he is anymore )':

ClinicalCheeze

Nork its rly cool that they inspired you to become a game designer! even tho work means no games............

ib, OFF n lisa are all standouts(tbh most rm games are since if it doesnt use rtp graphics, it looks unique..) with unique stuff!(as far as i know about lisa anyway)

another vote for space funeral! guess im gonna have to (watch a lets play of)it for myself at this rate x> *sees screenshots* very... colorful jda. sorry to hear bout your figurine ;0

Pepperly

If you want to watch a let's play of Space Funeral, I really enjoyed Vinny's. He didn't seem quite as into Earth Birth though, and I'm not sure he played SF2.
