How long have you been on TH?

yeah back in 2014 it was hard to get codes i guess kjsadj but i got mine through a mutual who was invited much more earlier than me TvTb idk who they got invited from. gosh, i remember back then people were actually drawing and paying for these dumb ass codes even though theyre not worth more than $1??? dsjkfsjkf

I think finding people who had codes was pretty easy? but actually getting one was difficult because everyone wanted you to write a bunch about your favorite oc or tell them your life story LOL-- but I was too lazy to participate in those and just ended up getting lucky when someone I watched was handing them out if you noted them :>

I remember wanting one for quite awhile (it felt like forever but couldn't have been much more than a month now that I think about it..) and when I finally got one I felt like I was joining super late? so for some reason I've just been sitting here all this time thinking I was a pretty new user but I guess not LMAO

percepliquis Oh man yeah I remember, people legit asked you to draw fullbody full shaded illustrations of their OCs with proper backgounds for a code worth like 40 cents lmao it was incredible. I still see some people doing it even today and it feels bizarre bc bro it's not worth Anything 

I joined in November 2016, getting my code from someone on Chicken Smoothie where I traded art for it. I started using the forums in January 2017, but I wasn't aware of the dramas I don't think.

My first character I uploaded was Tom. Don't really use him as much anymore though, and meanwhile I need to turn down the edge in his backstory. Stupid thirteen year old edgy phase...

As for the changes since then:

• Several layout changes
• Added literature feature that I was anticipating a bunch but turned out to not use much.
• Content warnings, which I'm grateful for because my stories tend to be dark.
• Forum games and art games forums didn't exist.
• Like someone else pointed out, general user age range seems to have lowered a bit.
• PMS DIDN'T HAVE WYSIWYG AND IT SUCKED
• I don't remember anything else?

february 2016! i had never owned an adopt and didnt really intend to lol but i wanted it to organize my ocs that i wanted to get commissions of and to expand my commission reach lol. it really worked out for the better, plus ive met some cool people ^^ ive been pretty consistent with getting on TH all the time, i usually check it daily...
my friend got us both codes when i expressed interest, it was really nice of her!

I don't think ive paid enough attention to notice the particularly big changes FDJKGESKHL
the most significant things I remember are the big layout update from Legacy TH(tm) to the new version, and I remember REALLY not liking it at first but I grew like... fond of it in a way? yknow. maybe I just got used to it lol

I got my account in October of 2017! I had heard about the site only recently and managed to find someone who was giving codes away. Before then I had some of my existing character information written up in word docs before so I got uploading stuff pretty quickly.

This was definitely the first (and one of the only) forums I've managed to stay active on as well, usually I'm far too shy haha

a friend kindly gave me a code for free near the end of 2014.... i twacked around a bit then and now ive been consistently using the site since late 2015/early 2016 or so probably. so ive been here like. forever. i hardly even remember what TH looked like before the Big Overhaul but its so much more userfriendly and robust now for sure, i can remember that haha
