Inspired by @iBrBz's thread about TH generations, here is a thread about your join date!
Do you still remember how you were invited? What was the site like when you joined, and have things changed since then? Do you have any memorable TH moments or big updates you remember particularly well? Have you had any long hiatuses on the site? Feel free to share & add more of your own too if you wish!
Now I'm curious to see the site's/forum's layout back then :0
(Also frankly I've heard of TH since 2015~2016, my brother even got a code at the same year though I don't think he uses his acc at all rip but I never bothered hunting for a TH acc since I was content with using Weebly lol. Also I didn't even think of lurking the site at all during that time because I thought every pages/access were locked for for everyone except logged in users- Not sure if joining late was the best decision but better late than never I guess)
I can't quite remember what month I got my code, but I'm thinking sometime after Art Fight, so around August 2018. I was looking at a gallery of someone's character when I looked around to see how I could join. I asked that person for a code and I think she found one from dA or somewhere and I've been here since :)
It was in early December of 2017. Been active on and off since then! I knew of the site for the better part of 2017, but that was the era where you had to buy the codes cause no one would give them away for free off site until I managed to find one person doing so. I don't really remember many of the updates, except the warnings one that I hate since it's still not able to be disabled and people will always misuse it. It's good at it's core, but not so much in practice.
I joined February 20 2018! I think the site was pretty chill when I first joined, haha; at first I just joined to use it as character storage. A lot of things changed like the addition of the literature feature. A lot of my TH memorable moments involve meeting new people and such, haha; I really wish I could have more friends on the site... that aside, I haven't really had a long hiatus.
Joined Dec 2017 but I’ve been very active since XD Got my code from someone in the belltreeforums but I’ve been wanting to join this site since September 2017 x.x I loved the features and the fact I could keep track of my characters :o
Just joined- Hello! Been trying to get a code for years now though. Not sure why it was so hard for me to get a code- I used to be on Gaia and Pokefarm and people gave them away like candy, but I always seemed to just miss them, or people were asking for art in return and I have absolutely 0 art skills. Glad I'm here though! Super helpful site to store all my OCs.
December 2014 for me... I was actually rather active in the forums and especially games... good old times haha :D
I think my favorite memories were when Tabs and multiple images got introduced... and the personal I had thanks to the latter because do I seriously have to re-tag everything now oh my god.. I still have way too many images uploaded multiple times on different characters.. and I'm not gonna change it. I tries once.. That was awful enough LOL
I joined in April 2015, I remember how hard it was to find an invite code at the time. xD Joined because of some friends, and the rest has been history. x3
I got an invite on gaiaonline freebie forums after hearing about Toyhouse in 2015.
I got an account, but then completely forgot about it for almost 2 years... until 2017 ArtFight. I noticed people were linking a lot of their characters to this site, so I tried to log in, and realized I had an account. I've been using the website pretty much daily ever since.
Honestly wish I was using it a lot earlier because it's such a great site to world build and inspires me to develop my characters and stories more and more.
Joined in April 2015; I don't remember much, but the big deals off the top of my head were adding multiple characters to an image and site skins (I immediately switched to Pink velvet Snake lmao). I wasn't really active on the forums until fairly recently.
