This is the thread for general pet peeves. I don't mean character ones or fandom pet peeves, I mean random, not specific to anything pet peeves.

Every. Day. My iPod dies, and I have to leave it on the charger whenever I'm not using it. It's pretty much broken at this point.

Pet peeve #100: when you correct someone and they get pissy for no reason

PS-X

I have two right here

-Just because you're in an honors class, everyone assumes that you are extremely smart and can do the impossible?!

-Designing a character and then someone says that you copied off of someone else.

Albinistic

1. Political arguments in places where it does not and should not belong.

I'm just trying to live my life and stay sane, I don't care about what "gender" you identify as, I don't care if you're a communist or socialist, and I definitely don't want to hear you complaining about how much you hate people who disagree with you. Stop shoving these depressing and pointless topics in people's faces. Politics should stay in dedicated political spaces, not be spread out all over the place

2. Unwanted & unhelpful art "criticism"

First of all it's kind of rude to give art criticism uninvited, especially if you're a random stranger who just stumbled upon the art. But if you're going to give criticism at least make it constructive and helpful, not just complaining.

3. People begging/whining for free or discounted art + characters

When I do commissions I always get comments asking me to lower the price because it's "all they have." or when I put up characters for sale I always get comments saying "*sniff* TT___TT i love it but i only have 50 points..."
it's guilt tripping and it's obnoxious and this is part of the reasons I actually hate doing commissions.

4. "oof" "lel" "kek" "lewd" "pupper" "smol" ... the list goes on.

I can't even say why it annoys me it just does. Maybe because it's spammy and repetitive and is much like an annoying toddler saying the same word 50 times over

5. "Femboy" OCs.

I'm a very androgynous individual myself because I'm intersex and having all these somewhat offensive gay stereotype characters around is pretty depressing. These idiots think that because a male is feminine he is automatically gay, weak, helpless, childlike, and some more NSFW stuff I cannot mention.

6. Albinism being looked over and not considered a "real disability."

Ok so I can't see in daylight (I can only see blurry coloured shapes, and my eyes hurt) so I cant drive and cant have a day job yet apparently I'm not "disabled enough" to get any kind of financial support and I'm just "being lazy".
that's also even without getting into my other health issues, like mental health or blood disorder.

Ive got two pet peeves

1. An art game pet peeve- When people dont thank you or at least write a note in the description of art youve done for them?? And it isnt because they didnt see it :/ Like be?? polite???

2. Slutty furry characters?? Like dont get me wrong lmfao its not asif i dont have any, but theyre like,, so overdone and its kinda >/ annoying when people just have like 80% Hot Furry Sluts xd

ParadiseLost

pet peeve: You ask for a particular character or ser of characters to NOT be interacted with (such as for forum games or commissions) and they just go ahead and pick a character from that set anyway even though you expressly told them not to.

I personally have not seen this outside of forum games, but I can imagine it’s equally as annoying elsewhere.

I get so many calls and voicemails from various tax companies it's unreal. They always ask for people that aren't me. I always call them back, tell them they have wrong number and they claim to take my number off the list but it continues. I get like 1-2 a week and I have no clue how to make it stop.

cookeycat

People who frequently beg for donations (deviantart emergency journals. heh.) because they don't have money even for the necessities. Their pets are always dying, all their computers and tablets are constantly broke, they need to repair their car, fridge and roof asap etc.

And the very next day I see them commissioning artists, boasting about useless items they bought online, talking about their vacation trip etc.

Like weren't you in a dare need of money just to survive and save your pets?

edit: it's perfectly fine to ask for donations when you are in need. There's nothing wrong with that.
I'm just against people who lie to get the money to buy stuff they don't need to survive.
