The forests north and east of the city of Onena have been the epicenter of a mysterious, rapidly-spreading outbreak known as XRH62, but more commonly known as “the Bad Blood”, “the strain”, “Black Plague 2: Electric Boogaloo”, “a lot like that movie I saw last Halloween”, and so on. While low-level strains of XRH62 cannot be directly contracted by humans in a viral manner, it has spread among vegetation and wildlife, causing them to release toxic spores and other chemicals on a regular basis, and creating mutations in wildlife that have created aggressive, "undead-like" beasts.
Only certain, privileged government officials and scientists actually know the exact, scientific details of XRH62, due to concerns that the information could get into the wrong hands. However, it's public knowledge that the outbreak has been crippling the city's economy (which is heavily dependent on the timber and freight industries), and scaring residents westward. That is, except for a group of adventurous hunters who call themselves the Society of the Mordant Wolf, who form squads that venture into infection zones to conduct somewhat unsanctioned research and cleanup efforts.
Said efforts may or may not involve actually having to fight off the aforementioned, mutated beasts that now roam the lands. Thankfully, the squads are neatly organized by color: the red member is the leader, the green member handles defense and medic duty, and the blue member is an attacker. It's just that easy, on paper, that is. No one said this job would ever be easy.
RGB: RouteGuardBlitz is a new sci-fi/apocalyptic RP group I have begun work on. You will join a mysterious grassroots gang trying to defend their city from from an equally-mysterious outbreak, that has been turning a nearby forest into a toxic wasteland full of mutated creatures! Just how can that not be fun?
The group will use both Toyhouse and a Discord server; you'll be able to RP on either Discord or the forum, whichever you prefer. I am currently on a search for moderators and people that can help flesh out our universe, and of course, members to flesh out our ranks so we'll be able to actually do things.
