Welcome to the Candy Mitten Shelter!
Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, I’m shutting this shelter down. PC no longer matter if you’re here to adopt. Everyone here must go, and they’re all completely free!!! You don’t even have to have a balance here to adopt, because again, everyone is now free! I may reboot the shelter at some point, but not any time soon. I think it would be best if I just stayed away from the shelter business for a while.
Note: Even though every character must go, I do still want everyone to have a chance to get something, so no more than 6 characters per person! Also this is FCFS.

The name of this shelter and it's currency was inspired by suggestions given to me by ChanteRyuutai! This shelter was also inspired by Design Shelter and many other OC shelters on Toyhou.se! :D
This shelter is run by one person, so please be patient! I'll try to be as active on here as I can, but there may be some days where I won't be logging onto this account.
To keep things fair, I'll be donating characters here to gain my own balance too! This is just in case someone donates a character that I decide I want to adopt myself.
The currency of this shelter is called Paw Coins (PC)! To view the pricing guide to see how I price things, along with how many Paw Coins you have, please look here. All you have to do to earn PC is to donate characters. You can also earn more PC by drawing characters in this shelter (including redesigns)!
If you're here to adopt a character, please comment on this thread or the character's profile! Please note that unsorted characters and pending characters cannot be adopted! Unsorted characters can be adopted once they've been priced and put into their corresponding folder. Also, once you adopt a character, you're more than welcome to change the information they come with!
When donating characters, you don't need to comment on the thread itself! You can just send them over with a message like "for the shelter" or something along the lines of that. Almost all types of characters are accepted, including ones made with dollmakers/generators. However, dollmaker/generator characters will be free unless extra art is added. The only characters that aren't allowed to be donated are characters that were heavily based on canon characters (ex. dekudogs) (fandom OCs are fine though) and characters with NSFW/lewd art (gore is fine, though). Back to the topic of fandom OCs, if there isn't a folder for a certain fandom, I'll add a folder for that fandom if someone donates an OC from that fandom! Also, if it isn't already specified, please make sure to specify somewhere in the profile that the OC is a fandom OC, along with what fandom the OC is from. The same rule applies to dollmakers; please specify if the OC was made on a dollmaker/generator! This is to make sure I put them in the right folder!
As of now, the Candy Mitten Shelter has no official mascot. The character you see in the profile picture is just a random picture of one of my OCs that I chose as a temporary profile picture. I may host a contest in the future where participants will design a mascot for the shelter, and whoever wins will get a prize! The other designs that aren't chosen can either be kept by the creator, donated to the shelter to be adopted, or just whatever the creator wants to do with the design. I don't know when or if this contest will happen, it all depends on how the shelter goes! ^^
Newly added rules 11/22/22:
1. I've decided that from now on, if a character that was created by you gets donated here and you want to take them back, due to the fact that you created the character, you can have them back for free regardless of whether they have a PC price attached to them or not!
2. If you're donating a non-dollmaker character to the shelter but you don't want any PC for them, put something like "do not give PC" in the transfer message. Doing this will let me know that you don't want PC in return for this character, and the character will be marked as free until further notice. If someone adds worth to the character by drawing them, only that drawing will make the character worth PC, and the artist who made the image will get PC as usual.
