So, I know there's already a thread but I thought I would make my own with some ideas. Plus that thread has been dead for two years now. And this doesn't have to be added until after the rewrite, or maybe later. Think of this as a suggestion for the future.
So, what if we got backing up profiles? Like a no brainer, huh? Downloading a large as hell file to have a backup of your character's on your device or storage device of your choice. Pretty simple.

1. What if you're able to toggle what you do and don't want to be backed up?
So, what you could maybe back up: Art, profiles (like the coding), whatever's in tabs (or exclude tabs), links (in a text file? Maybe that can be formatted too to look cool? A bit much but eh), and literatures (not sure what else could be added on the top of my head).
This will give you the option to choose what you want and don't want to back up in case you just don't want to save them or you need to save on space. (Which I suggest a flash drive to store your characters?)
2. Once you either downloaded the backup or you never did, the files will delete themselves from the server so you will have to generate them again to save on server space?
I heard this is an issue so here's a suggestion on a fix. Just don't keep it in the server for long. It may take a while to create but it's for the best. Since the files could be very big, it might need a button to say "hey I downloaded this" because there have been times where things take hours to download. Even simple things for me (I had atrocious internet until two years ago). But after, say, perhaps a week or so, the files will be deleted from the server to clear up on space.
Perhaps there's also a limit on how many backups you can create in a certain amount of time. So once a month (or two weeks. Up to you, staff), you can make only one backup. You probably can't toggle it to add new things, or maybe you're able to so you can make different backups to move onto your files (maybe have an "I'm putting this in a preexisting backup" option?).
Feel free to suggest more stuff. I feel like I'm missing something and ideas are pretty good.
