Suggestion: Hide favorites or hidden fav folders

Hello! This post doesn't really need a response, I just wanted to throw the idea out there.

It would be useful to be given the choice to hide our favorites from other users, or to be able to create folders within favorites that aren't accessible to other users (similar to the privacy setting of character folders)

I've personally had instances where people have been browsing my favorited characters to search for ocs to trade or aquire.
I use my favorites to store adopts and characters for sale I want to save money for and I spend a good amount of time exploring tags, bulletins, and of course the main TH sale page to dig out cool characters I can buy or try to buy within a few days.

I don't want to block the people I find doing this because it's technically fair game to them (and kind of clever, I admit), but I don't want my personal time browsing used at the advantage of someone else especially when I plan a purchase at my own discretion.

(Hope this is the correct way to make a suggestion, it's the first time I do;) Thank you for reading, wish you a great day!

hmm mixed feelings about this one!! while this could be good for things like what you mentioned, it also lets people who make dreamie folders or fav4fav folders put characters in them that the owners aren’t okay with being put in there. I think if this feature is implemented it should still allow the original designer and current owner to see where their character has been placed, though then that lets them see every other character in that folder so hmm, it’s kinda messy.

I think an okay temp. solution to this could be labelling your folders confusingly or ambiguously so that people don’t know why the characters are there. maybe put a few red herrings in there too, or split the characters into multiple different folders, or put them inside larger folders so they are harder to get to. :]  though a lot of these half-solutions come at the cost of organisation so it’s definitely not ideal!!

I can definitely see where you're coming from, but I also agree with JOYII

I am very uncomfortable with people putting my characters in folders like dreamies or wishlist..they're important to me and it's very unlikely that I'll let any of them go, so it really bothers me when they're put on "shopping lists". I even mention several times on my profile and folders that I don't want anyone doing that, but some people can't read...so I like being able to check if my OCs are in such folders so I can remove them.

Ig it would be nice but as the people above said I feel like the owner/original owner of the character should be able to see what folder they were put in. Just in case they are put in a dreamie folder or something?

Completely agree that owners should be notified if one of their ocs gets added to a hidden fav folder, or even be given the choice to disable addition to a hidden fav folder (same as being able to disable favorites on a character?)

I completely agree, maybe there could be an option where people can disable that for their ocs if they're not comfortable with this Too!
