[Bug] Tabbed characters do not show up in worlds

So, unless I'm doing something wrong, I think there's a pretty serious bug right now where characters in tabs (eg: https://toyhou.se/1093314.bloodlust/1266971.feral-liam) don't show up at all in the 'characters' section of worlds.

I tried adding a few of my characters to a world and only the ones that weren't tabs showed up. The tabbed characters are still in the world, considering I cannot add them twice, but they do not show up, even when clicking 'view all'

This happens with all tabs, full or basic. You can't even view what world a character is in in a basic tab, but even if they are a full tab, when you click on the 'worlds' section, they still show up as being part of the world, even if you cannot see them in the world itself. I kinda need these characters to show up, since I can't sort or otherwise modify them in the world if they don't. If I'm doing something wrong please let me know.

Are you saying that the tabbed characters don't appear in the characters list of worlds - are you trying to sort them into a Worlds folder?

We ran a few tests; the tabbed characters must be added through "Submit Character" and appear when posting IC, but not in the general characters list. Which makes sense, considering that tabs are not technically their own character - they're more sub-characters. It's the same concept as why you can't sort tabs into their own folders on your main character list. It's not so much a bug (we think) as it is the nature of what tabs are. Worlds use similar framework to the rest of the site, including the characters list, so since tabs don't show up on the main character list, they won't show up in the Worlds'.

It would be nice to have the functionality to sort them in worlds, though. ^^

Xen Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but in this case is it right to assume that the character isn't what you want in the world, but only the tabbed version?

minsu, Yep! only the tabbed version, I use tabs as AU versions of characters, if this isn't intentional I would love to be able to use them in AU worlds. Also, if they don't show up then the admin of the world can't remove them I don't think.

Xen Ah, yep. Then it's as Nonstop described. Tabs aren't full characters so they aren't treated as such by the site. If anything, the ability to add tabbed characters to worlds might be our bug...
