Set Avatar Size

When posting in the fourms, I believe we should have a set avatar size.

This is probably just because I'm super anal about same size avatars just because I think it looks neater. Possibly 200x200?

akii There's a max avatar size, which I believe is 200x200. Anything smaller than that will be shown at its native size, anything bigger is scaled down I believe.

minsu I had a huge picture I wanted to use for an avatar and the site would not accept it. I had to resize it myself :) so yes I think they do have a max scale.

I'm assuming they mean they don't want avatars to be smaller though, rather then having a max~ So for example they don't want icons like the one I have, as it's smaller and not uniform~ I could be wrong, but that's what it sounds like, sorry if I got that wrong~ :) I do understand wanting that, but I personally enjoy being able to use the kind of icon I enjoy most, having the option is nice~ :)

TreeTale has got the idea, I just say 200x200 because of how the fourms are set up and such. Plus it just looks really clean to me. Of course, I would hate to single out anyone's icons, because a lot of them are smaller

TreeTale

Yeah, it would be hard to change now, as people are used to being able to use what they like~ I want to use 50x50, others want to use 200x200, some like using longer images too I have noticed~ As for having the option to view them all at a size you set... well that might end up looking worse.. I mean it's fine if I set them all at 50x50, but if you set them all at 200x200 the smaller images would stretch and look bad would they not? Not sure, just thinking it might look strange?

akii

Yeah, going to a small size would be a lot easier on everyone, since it's really easy to scale down an image, whilst scaling up an image can make it look just terrible.

MonoliththeGoat

everyone is saying 200x200 but, personally, i'd try something bigger if you're using something like photoshop. I'm remaking all of mine to be 500x500 px just so i dont have a crunchy ass image.

-1 to this idea tbh. It’s restrictive and not needed
