This has been an issue for years, and unfortunately hasn't been fixed yet. TH turns purely black and white images into a much darker version for some reason. The fix is to add a few pixels of subtle colour (like, value 1-5) to the art in a place where it won't be detected. That has always fixed the issue for me! <:
My greyscale drawings I upload on here appear washed out and lighter? (I've only noticed this with greyscale images, at least) It happens when I save in both greyscale and normal rgb mode in photoshop - it looks fine on imgur and if I link it in a forum it displays fine, this only happens when I upload an image to a character.
It's not a transparency issue, as I paint on a solid block of colour and no part of the drawing has transparency except for the transparent background.
This has happened on every greyscale drawing I've done... help please lol
Here's an example: (sorry for the different colour backgrounds, but the difference in the drawings is still visible)
Left is toyhouse upload, right is how it looks in photoshop, etc
ElithianFox Ah, that fixed it!! Thank you :D
