Hello! I've been here for a few months and most of my questions have been resolved except one: what is a wishlist, what is it for, and what does it entail? If anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. ^^

It's like a letter to Santa.
On Toyhouse, basically people have a list of preferences for art or designs. This could include favorite artists/designers, favorite species, color schemes, themes (like futuristic/fantasy/etc), or whatnot. If they're entertaining trades, you can see if you'd have something they'd like by checking out their preference lists.
If they're looking for art, they might specify favorite styles, topics, things like chibis or fullbodies or couple art.
Yep, Art <-> Art, Art <-> Adopt/Character, and Adopt/Character <-> Adopt/Character are all trades.
As an additional note, DTAs (Draw to Adopts), where you draw the character you want to keep, is not considered a trade because you keep the art and receive the character, so it's a freebie.
