Basically what I'm thinking is that I "publish" a story for only myself, allowing me to work on it bit by bit, and then change it to "public" when I finally finish it. The only thing I'm worried about is that doing that won't alert anyone subscribed to me that the story is published because it's technically already been posted.

"Why not just...write it on your computer in a word processor" I have two computers and places like this often mess up formatting when you copy-paste

you can! it's what i do :p

but yea, it wont alert any subscribers unfortunately. thats why i keep it saved as a draft until im ready to post it, then i make it public and publish it

you can have drafts of multi-chapter/collection lits, just not one-shots, but you can freely change between the three types of lits anyways. so if you start off the lit as a multi-chap, it should automatically be in 'draft' mode, and you can then add a chapter and work on it whenever and publish it once you're ready, either as multi-chap or one-shot (so long as there's only one chapter). if that works for you?

Oh well that works! Thanks you two. Kolo zinnia
