hello! //I need to figure out what's happening and I can't seem to find a stupid email to send paypal a question I have regarding a payment sent.
so basically
I sent a payment to someone for an art commission and they told me that the funds are being held. they told me to confirm the payment on the details of the receipt.
I have no idea why paypal says the payments will be available until a certain date. the money is already out of my account. what the heck is going on? does anyone know a way I can contact paypal? Like can email or something?

From experience of being given money for things, the payment being held is on the seller's end technically and not yours. (I could be wrong however.)
ah, yeah. I was reading that. I've tried sending paypal a message and even sent something to their twitter help desk (if that at all helps lol)
I wonder if I should just wait it out a few days or if I should cancel the payment. though, I feel like If that happens and I send it back this might end up happening again. daaang it paypal. it probably didn't help that the payment was from USD to another currency. thank you though. I thought it was something on my end ; - ;

Comet it sucks TT____TT glad im not alone. I sent the payment today and unfortunately there's no option to confirm on the receipt and the person told me they haven't received it. that it's on hold and I have to confirm it (tho paypal is being the big stupid and that option just doesnt exsist lol) and I don't believe they can give me a refund because they don't even access to the funds since they're on hold (I might ask them tho if they could cancel it on their end)
waaah this is such a headache @ _____ @ ;;; Honestly I just want to cancel the payment but idk if that's gonna put them in the red as I'd hate for that to happen but when I check activity history it says that the payment is completed but then it should be available until june 20th

i've been in this exact same situation before, and we ended up just waiting it out. it sucks, but unless you can get in contact with Paypal support (they have a message center which has a pretty fast response time) there's not much you can do. good luck!
just a quick question (and I know it seems like it might be different for each case) but just out of sheer curiosity how long did you end up waiting before they actually got the payment? //if you don't remember that's perfectly fine! I'm just curious cause I might wait for a day but if not then I'll just have to force this silly ol' website for a refund
