Terms of Service

• You are allowed to produce personal content with your calami / calamies in it (e.g. stories, roleplay, literature, art, comics, crafts).
• If you don't want to follow the original lore, that's no problem. You can give your calami any gender, sexuality, personality, backstory, setting etc. you want.
• You may put your calami in any fandom and/or universe you want, you may ignore the original lore.
• You are allowed to order commissions with your calami / calamies in it.

• You are allowed to purchase items with motives of your calami / calamies for personal usage only. Such items include art, posters, t-shirts, literature, plushies, sketchbooks, keychains, etc.
• You are allowed to use your calami / calamies in personal projects such as roleplay, original universes, shipping, short stories, literature, art, books, etc. Please be aware that you may not profit off these projects,    as they are not considered as personal projects anymore.
• You are allowed to use your calami / calamies as a persona, mascot, internet identity, etc.

• It is strictly forbidden to use calamies commercially. You are prohibited to profit off them. If you included your calami / calamies in a story/book/comic etc. and plan on making it be available for purchase, you must edit your work and exclude any calami / calamies from that.
• You are allowed to use art examples including calami / calamies in your commission journal.
• You are allowed to provide calami-only commissions / YCHs. You may not charge more for the species, price only the value of your work itself.
• You are allowed to take commissions of calami customs. The customer must provide proof of owning an MYO slot. Protect yourself from being scammed. As already stated, you may not charge extra for the species.

• Calami / Calamies can interact with any OC. However, please keep in mind that they are originally set to be in a traditional and fantasy setting. (But as already mentioned, you don't have to follow the lore.)
• You may create your own alternative universes for your calami / calamies, let your creativity run free!
• Calamies can interact with canon characters from any book/TV show/movie you like, thus your calami can be a fan character.
• You are allowed to couple your calami / calamies with other official species.
• You are allowed to couple your calami / calamies with other closed / semi-closed / open / semi-open species, as long as the other species owner allows cross-ships as well.

• You are not allowed to crossbreed your calami / calamies with other species.
• You are allowed to create / design offspring(s) for your calami / calamies, however, you need an MYO ticket for every offspring to do so.
• You are allowed to sell the offspring(s) you create since they are still valid MYO designs made out of purchased MYO tickets. But, if you created your offspring out of an MYO ticket you obtained for free, you may not sell them. Only trade or gift.

•  You are obligated to credit sharkimi and miulli as the species creators in your calami's toyhou.se profile.
• In case you haven't designed your calami yourself (e.g. bought it as an adopt), you must give proper credit to the designer.
• Be careful and credit your calami / calamies and the art of your calami / calamies appropriately and properly.
• All calamies uploaded on toyhou.se must be set on either "Public" or "Only Logged In Users". Do not set them on "Private", since it will prohibit other community members from seeing them.
• It is not required to credit sharkimi and miulli under every artwork you make, but it is appreciated. Also, it is not required to ask the artist you commission credit sharkimi and miulli, but appreciated.

! CAUTION !
You must notify the species owners or an admin about the trade. The reason for that is to keep the master list up to date. A private message is enough, please include the toyhou.se / deviantART link of the new owner and their name.

• You are allowed to

✓ trade your calami / calamies for: characters, virtual currencies (which cannot be converted back into money), art, vouchers & MYOs.
✓ trade your calami / calamies in a three-way trade.
✓ trade your calami / calamies only, if you received them in a trade or you purchased them.
✓ trade your calami MYO slot(s). The same rules, that were stated above, are applied.
✓ trade offspring(s) you created for your calami / calamies, as they are valid MYO designs. All the rules above are applied.

• You are not allowed to

× trade characters, MYO slots or offsprings that have been gifted to you.
× trade your calami / calamies or MYO slot(s) to blacklisted/banned users. Protect yourself and the community, please take care of not being scammed.

! CAUTION !
You must notify the species owners or an admin about the gifting. The reason for that is to keep the master list up to date. A private message is enough, please include the toyhou.se / deviantART link of the new owner and their name.

• You are allowed to gift your calami / calamies to anyone, except to people being on the blacklist or banned. Protect yourself and the community, please take care of not being scammed.
• You are allowed to gift your calami / calamies to anyone. The rules stated above are applied.
• If you obtained your calami / calamies as a gift, you are not allowed to trade or sell them, unless the previous owner had permission for trading/selling and explicitly allowed you to do so.

! CAUTION !
You must notify the species' owners or an admin about the resell. The reason for that is to keep the masterlist up to date. A private message is enough, please include the toyhou.se / deviantART link of the new owner and their name.

• You are allowed to

✓ sell your calami / calamies for any currency.
✓ sell them on a price based on a purchase value + amount of extra art principle.
✓ sell your calami / calamies only if you purchased them before.
✓ sell your calami MYO slot(s). The same rules stated in the "Selling" section are applied.
✓ sell offsprings you create for your calami / calamies, as they are valid MYO design. All rules of the "Selling" section are applied.

• You are not allowed to

× sell your calami / calamies or MYO slot(s) to blacklisted/banned users. Protect yourself and the community, please take care of not being scammed.
× sell any calami, which has been traded or gifted to you.

• If selling MYO designs,...

... which you commissioned someone to design (!), please note that the value of the character is the MYO ticket + the cost of the designing process.
... which you designed on your own, the value of the character is the MYO ticket's value only.

Approved MYO Design(s)

• You are allowed to sell/trade/gift your MYO designs if they were done on a purchased MYO slot.
• You are allowed to trade/gift your MYO designs if they were done on a free MYO slot obtained in an event or raffle.
• Your MYO design is not official until it is listed on the master list.

The approval of the MYO design is usually done within one day. You must pm one of the species owners with a full resolution, clearly visible and recognizable visual of your design. After that, you'll receive a response - Approved/Declined. If approved, your calami will be added to the list. If declined, you'll be informed about what to do next.

! CAUTION ! If you want to edit your calami's design, the process repeats.

Adopt(s) / Official Design(s)

• You are allowed to trade/sell/gift your official design.
• Your purchased adopt is official at the moment you receive them - your name will be just added to the master list.

! CAUTION ! If you want to edit your calami's design, you must pm one of the species owners with a full resolution, clearly visible and recognizable visual of your design. After that, you'll receive a response - Approved/Declined. If approved, the process is done. If declined, you'll be informed about what to do next.

• MYO slots must be purchased/obtained before you start designing your own calami.
• MYO designs must be approved before they are put in usage.
• Originally purchased MYO slots are allowed to be traded/sold.
• MYO slots obtained in a raffle or an MYO event cannot be sold. However, they can be traded or gifted.
• You are allowed to trade/gift your MYO designs made out of MYO slots obtained for free.
• You are allowed to trade / sell/gift your MYO designs made out of purchased MYO slots.
• If you obtained an MYO slot during an MYO event and miss the deadline for finishing the design, your MYO slot becomes invalid.

If the deadline is about to come and you know you won't be able to make it, please ask sharkimi or miulli for a personal extension. It is possible to get one only once and the extra time given is one month.

Participation in events is optional. However, if you already signed in for an event, where e.g. artists do art traded, you are obligated to finish your part. Such events are called after-sign-compulsory events and not fulfilling your claim is seen as unacceptable behavior.

If you fail to finish your part for an after-sign-compulsory event, you will be banned to participate in any other event.

The status of a guest artist can only be given by (one of) the species owners - sharkimi and miulli.

- Guest artists are allowed to sell calami adopts.
- Guest artists must credit the species owners in the post with every calami they make.
- Guest artists get one MYO ticket per six months.
- Guest artists are obligated to make at least one adopt every two months.
- They may keep 80% of the price, while 20% goes to the species owners.
