Show me OCs that speak/write fictional languages!

See title.

I wanna see OCs that speak fictional languages! Either your own made up language, or languages from anime/manga/games! (I'll also count writing, but not speaking it, to that.)

ArgonautilusSanctum

In terms of proper conlangs, D'aillisioux speaks Demonish and Sol-Croix, but only Demonish has had any development, and that was mainly in the form of the curse words and some scattered sentences and phrases, though it is said to have the some Russian inspiration with many glottal stops. Sol-Croix, on the other hand, is a language that can only be understood emotionally by non-native speakers. Somehow, it's not a language that can be learned, despite the best attempts of World Machine linguists. Caleb can also understand and speak Sol-Croix, but it's not a language that'll ever have dialogue written out for it, so I don't count it any.

tim-in-a-box

the world in my comics just has a fictional language. Actually the first bunch of pages were entirely written in it with captions for translation. But make no mistake, it's not like it's some fancy thought out conlang, it's just a string of random symbols put in place of texts passed off as "ohh their fancy fictional language" so I don't need to think of news articles, store/brand names and random convesations where it doesn't really matter what the content of it is :'D
however, it /is/ established that for them this is their legit official language, I do have the alphabet for it (it's just a simple a=*, t=+, h=# or whatever) and font for it, so at times certain words may just be written like this
but, the only two actual words that can be confirmed as of now are the names of the main cities Ä+*4~ and T@Ö#Ä3 (<- that's the closest I can get on a standard keyboard without using the font). also side note, at least for T@Ö#Ä3 I remember is being a lot longer word that I don't even remember anymore so don't expect me to be able to provide any pronounciation or meaning of any of this :'D

the whole thing is more on the level of simlish, it's like a placeholder for a language and yea after 20years everyone knows that sul sul means hello, but don't expect lessons in duolingo for it you know what I mean :'D

Sparka Pureheart Scottie

Sparka is the one who most explicitly does it.  She speaks Dragaean and potentially some Banlanian, both languages in my book.  However, all characters in my Dragaea folder speak it

Rainbow000Pegasus

Everyone currently posted in the Spirit folder knows how to read the old tongue of magic.
In their world, it's kind of like the Latin in science? Most people who grew up with parents who could do magic learn how to read them, though generally they are taught the simplified version over the traditional.

Sabotage

Not sure if this counts, but all of the characters on the dragons of cosnicu folder speak Draconic Merchant Speech, a dialect of english-like languages that have a few major changes to match draconic grammar (which is consistent among all draconic languages)

  • VERY STRICT sentence structure
  • no pronouns
  • every noun has a specific number. there is no singlar/plural
  • most words have "parsewords" that come before/after them
A sample sentence in english: Bob walked to the store and he picked up some milk.

The same sentence in draconic merchant speech: one Bob (sapient) is walking to one store right now and while one Bob (sapient) is inside, one Bob will pick up one milk.

I am also working on a language for each individual dragonkind (not yet done)

this clown's species is naturally really good at picking up on languages as they travel, and he travels a lot, so he's learned a lot of random languages from both the people of his world, and a few animal species. He has a habit of mumbling in his own native language when he's distracted, though, which is a combination of normal speech, clicks, chirps, and a second layer of speech from a second "mouth" valve in his throat. There's another main character of the same species in that folder, but he only speaks sikhaxka (native bug man speak) and english, so he needs to talk to more animals :(

Misha ★✪ trippingfurs

Misha is an alien from Mercury who speaks over 9,000,000 languages (alien, animals, and human) in order to advocate for her species! Her first language is Mercurian (fictional, of course) Ooblar (Martian), Venuit (Venus), Sarish (Saturn), etc.

UFT | UFO radishleaf

i loooove conlang, but i wouldn't know where to begin making my own language, ahaha. :'))))

that said, nell's people has their own language, but he also had enough interaction with humans to learn the common tongue. despite this, he still had to go to school and expand his vocab, since he only knew basic exchanges. his harpy name, nelri, means "windbloom" in his first language, but he deigns to be called by it (he's embarrassed dlfgjfkjk) so he opted for nell when he assimilated into human society.

Monroe CharaRen

I have quite a few OCs who speak and write a fictional language! Monroe here though can speak both common English and his cult's ancient tongue/scriptures. It's a break off of Latin with it's own rules and runes instead of common letters. It was purposely written this way so their oracles could easily remember the feel of the shapes to recite blessings.

ROBERT MARSFAUN

Robert and a couple other super old immortal characters I have can speak + write in old Cutopian. Nowadays it is rare to find someone who isn’t one of these immortals and uses the language.

Jak xmoriartea

Since most of my OCs are DND kiddos, they all speak fantasy languages, but Jak here gets the shout out cause they speak the most of those languages. Beyond Common, they know Gnomish, Dwarvish, Goblin, Primordial, and they're learning to understand a language of the ilithid which has no words or alphabet, it's a mental language meant to be understood through the touch of strange grooves and divits - like a more conceptual braille. Very confusing. Gives them a good old headache when they try to decipher more of their book.

Ramsey moryonenn

Ramsey's first language is Ozian, the official language of her home country. She also learnt the Permorsij dialect of sobakaâ while growing up, because her family originally came from the country where it's spoken.

Vasilij's first language is the Âmalij dialect of sobakaâ. Sobakaâ is considered one language, but not all dialects are mutually intelligible, so some consider them seperate languages and he studied other dialects in school, so can usually get by anywhere sobakaâ is spoken. He also picked up bits of other languages on his travels.

Kove, Direke and Chonise are all bilingual in apoki, the language spoken by their species the area where they live, and the Permorsij dialect of sobakaâ, the official language of their country.

Macsim's first language is sunealem, the language most members of his species speak (they form an unusually unified nation and the language is strictly regulated so they can always speak to each other). He's a language teacher so speaks several other languages, including ewropeis, the official language of his home country. Both sunealem and ewropeis can be seen here. (Ewropeis is the one using the latin alphabet.)
