Here's Prince Silvio North, Crown Prince of the North Kingdom in France ~ He's vert popular in the kingdom and has a lot of admirers despite actually being rather mean and rude to most people.

Once part of a picture-perfect duo of leaders, Yue and her sister Crya were Equestria’s esteemed Princesses . . . until the fateful day Crya was assassinated. Since, Yue took on the role of both of them, raising the sun and moon, despite only being meant to have control over the latter.
Ponies can’t help but make theories and stir up controversy over Crya’s tragic death. Many conspiracists believe that Yue herself was behind Crya’s assassination, that the deed was done out of pure jealousy for Equestria’s undeniable favoritism towards Crya. Ponies often sweep the theory back into the dark, refusing to talk about it; Yue, their honest, noble and hardworking Princess, a murderer? A likely story.Â
Still, there are a few pieces of the story that don’t quite add up like they should . . . .
By traditional definition, he was a prince. The way the world he came from works is the strongest of that generation would be raised as a prince/princess to take over after the previous king/queens 25 year reign. He was a twin, and his sister was selected instead of him. He was kept in the castle as a "back-up" essentially.
In the end he abandoned any notion of being royalty and went off to become a legendary hero instead
