Tell me about the time your strong oc broke. What broke them and how were they broken?

I wanna hear about the time your stoic oc who "no one's ever seen cry before" had a total emotional breakdown. I wanna hear about the time your calm and collected oc went into a rage. I wanna hear about the time your bravest hero became terrified of the world. I wanna hear about the time your lawful good oc killed a man in cold blood.

Gimme the broke so I can love themšŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ’•

šŸ‘‘ King Wredil (Humanized) MegiW

Wredil has always dealt with his sadness by being calm/silent or crying. Anger is rare for him.

But one time he brokeeee, he was outside on no one's territory after a short fight sword fight with a new enemy.

He started to rage after the fight, he was so done with all the physical and emotional pain he was getting at the moment, from recent death of his wife, to having to hide his grief, to getting into a fight with new enemy which in now a starter of a future war after agesss of peace.

He started to furiously take off the arrow he was shot with and then started hitting some rocks, he finally felt for one of the first times like the pain he was getting was not deserved. After short raging moment he fell on his knees and started to cry, going back to default.

AmƩ BurritoToast

AmƩ is seen as a giant deal maker.

He does morally questionable things all the time. Be leaving the human race to fend off for themselves, leaving an organization in utter ruins, and even taking the reminiscence of the future of his harsh reality away.

He's the classic "Lone Wolf" character and is hard on everyone he meets.

However, he snapped when he couldn't save the one person he loved the most. A young child he took in under his wing due to their similarities as being "Soldiers"

Taking a severe blow to the head, his surrogate son was always in a trance. He couldn't remember nor speak. So he was basically a lifeless puppet. Who could only do basic tasks.

And ever since then AmƩ blames himself for the child's injuries and always said it should've been him.

SirenaSib

When she had been recaptured by her ex-lover/commander. She had made so much progress in healing both mentally and physically she had friends, two significant others and a happy life until heĀ sends his other ā€dogā€ to find her and ā€œbring her homeā€.

She broke when she saw him, when he laid his hands on her and said the things he said. She would of succumbed to his wishes and more if it meant getting away from him in any way.Ā

She would of been gone if it wasnā€™t for the ā€œdogā€, for jackal to come to his senses and realize that their beloved commander was dark. He sent word out so that Spider could be saved. While he went to deal with jackal himself.

In a sense, two pilots broke that day while their commander burned.Ā

Dauson McClellan SkystormV

Heā€™s probably the toughest and most stoic of my ocs. Heā€™s a normally good-spirited and chill guyĀ who can be stern when he needs to- itā€™s rare that he ever becomes irrational with anger or has a breakdown. But it has happened on a few occasions.Ā

I included this one in his profile actually- At a certain point, while he was having an argument with Zog (one of my antagonist characters), Zog said something that hit a sensitive spot and Dauson ended up beating him until he couldnā€™t stand (which was really just a punch to the face and gut as Zog isnā€™t a very burly individual). Dauson secretly felt guilty about it for a while after.

In another instance-Ā Probably at his lowest point, Dauson completely loses his bearings. Believing they had taken everything from him, he goes by himself to try to take down a Garkiscime black hole harvester. The Garkiscime are the main main antagonists of their story and are an extremely powerful race of higher dimensional beings that have gained the ability to travel between dimensions. They use this ability to exploit and drain dimensions of their energy and life, blah blah blah, you get the point, theyā€™re bad news. Unfortunately, I canā€™t say what happens to Dauson during this encounter because Iā€™m not even close to writing that part of the story tbh

Viper remon

GF got sniped in front of him because he took his guard down a second, he proceeded to set almost everything he passed by on fire including the dude who hired the sniper.
So yea, let's say he was a bit shaken.

Actaeon's case is almost the same but his girl was wrongfully accused and burned to death and he literally couldn't do anything about it, so after that he just has the personality of a well-decorated brick wall. He broke down again after the king briefly summoned a fake (?) replica of the girl to try to persuade him into siding and with him so he could have her back and spilling the beans about his backstory.
It... didn't work well. About half the kingdom burned down.

Astra Crosswise Minn

Well it's mostly because I'm an absolute asshole; here we go:Ā

Astra was in a battle against another mage who then 'blinded' her completely. However, Astra is practically blind anyway and can't see a lot, and usually wears a blindfold to cover her eyes. She wasn't wearing the blindfold now, however, and didn't even notice the remaining bit of her eyesight had gone, because she thought she was wearing it. Anyway, when she kicked his ass and told him she was used to 'living in darkness' all the time, and therefore didn't need to see him to know where he was, the guy decided to take away her sense of hearing (which is incredible) and her sense of smell as well.Ā

He then proceeded to absolutely beat the living shit out of her, and Astra basically lost it. She'd never actually considered herself to be disabled in any way because she was fine with just her hearing (and she enjoys having others do shit for her when she's bored), and never felt like she couldn't do anything just because her eyesight was shit. But now she couldn't see, hear or smell, she felt truly trapped in darkness. And even though she eventually got her hearing and smell (and tiny bit of eyesight) back, she took a long time to get over her fear of 'real darkness'.

I'm actually in the process of fully writing the scene out, so it's a bit more dramatic in my head than I wrote down here. But yeah I'm a dick >< She deserves so much better

Pride [Bakari] JayBird375

I was gonna go with his apprentice Kuro, who's also been through some crap, but Pride here has had a lot of heartbreak too.Ā

For context, he wasn't born with a very powerful talent and his original ability was to shapeshift into a slightly better version of himself. He got into a hero school, and still tried his very hardest but was about to be cut from the program until the top hero in the country at the time came to the school in hopes of finding a kid to adopt worthy successor. So Pride eventually receives an awesome power up and goes to work with said hero, who's now slowly losing his power.

One day Pride's mentor is killed and because he was one of the top heroes, it becomes a huge scandal. But Pride's the only one who really knows what happened and he can't tell, so everyone starts blaming him for the death of the mentor he really loved. Broken, he flees to another planet and rebrands, starting hero work on that planet. Meanwhile his home planet is thrown into chaos and he struggles with guilt for years before going back.

In his second story, he's majorly wounded and the only thing that saves him is the fact that all his organs are on the opposite sides. And because of his wolverine healing, they can't get the arrow out of him before his broken ribacage fuses around it. If he uses one of his powers, it will puncture his lung again. So he's been dealing with that for a while. But he keeps doing what he do and caring for his province with a smile.

Core aaawhyme

Well I haven't posted this anywhere but here, so the details are messy but I think Core deserves some spotlight!

Core has always been the quiet and somewhat bullied brother of the three. They pick on him and see him as emotionally weak. Tho they love him and all three of them are hugely codependent on one another.

There comes a time when both his brothers, torche and Torru are pit against each other by the pirate captain, Jacquel. Long after their father dies and they are thrown into a world they've always been 'protected from'.

Core can see his family getting torn apart by skillful manipulation and on the night where they would all be separated, he breaks into the captain's quarters and slits Jac's throat.Ā

His brothers are shocked and terrified at the ramifications of his actions but turn to core as their 'leader' figure in order to escape the ship and the vengeance of jac's bloodthirsty crew.Ā

Honestly, core has been through so much shit it was about time he stood up for himself and his family, and made them see he was not the push over they always thought he was.

Levanc Mitsukahime

as a kid, he never wanted to be a soldier, unfortunately that's what the law told him to do, he became a soldier overnight, spent 10 years in military school, fought in wars, killed people, lose a family member, etc etc, he can went through any pain and suffer as long as he's with two of his best buddies that had been with him since he was little, together forced to be a soldier...

the worst pain was losing one of his buddies during war

and so every emotional anger that he went through as an unwilling soldier, pile up for this moment

Hunter (retired) QuazarStar

Like Levanc, Hunter was a soldier and in the present day he's had a long career in special ops, weird underground vampire military BS, and is currently one of the bodyguards to the vampire queen. Everyone knows him as this stoic, calm, humourless giant of a man who is a consummate professional and always has a neatly laundered shirt.

Back when he first got turned into a vampire though, he crashed hard. It was an accidental turning (his sire meant to kill him and left him because he thought he was dead) and Hunter spent several nights/days after being turned running half-naked around the wilds of Poland full of panicked energy with no CLUE what was going on with himself. After finally being found and taken in by his sire, he went through a very lonely crisis phase, where he had to deal with unexpectedly leaving everything he'd known behind, including his humanity. Even with his sire's company it was a very emotional, mentally taxing time for him and anyone who knows him today would be very surprised by how fragile he was in those first few years, I think.

I did a doodle of him and his sire during this time a while back, it's not very good but eh, what can you do lol, I still like the feeling it conveys
