The Prompt (If needed):

[OC] finds themselves in a quiet, rustic-looking town with busy individuals and floating things hovering about left and right. Magic fills the air and they feel drawn to one source. The source? A tall, brown-haired man with pointy ears and a wide assortment of golden earrings. He seems to not be busy now. What shall [OC] do?

If anyone wishes, I am willing to make links between Gold and your OC, provided they did interact with one another. You can be rude to Gold, scare him, etc. But Gold will usually be polite to a tee.

"Woah...okay!" He looked a bit intimidated by the appearance of the elf "Wasn't....expecting that....hi!" He waved.

Gold's bright eyes flicker over to the oddly-colored being before him. He couldn't quite tell whether he was friend or foe, but what he could discern of Kevin's kind could imply that he was safe enough to allow stead within the kingdom (aptly named Kingdom, of course.

Upon further analysis of Kevin's demeanor, Gold was a little embarrassed to think he might make one uncomfortable. Was it perhaps his height? He hoped not, for that would be a shame.

"Be not afraid, newcomer," Gold greets, clasping his hands together in front of his legs and offering a half-bow. "For I do no harm. Who may you be, visitor to the glorious Kingdom? I am Gold, the Head Healer."

A shudder passed through the high-status Elf, allowing magic of a brilliant gold to spark reflexively at his fingertips. Something about the fellow Elf rubbed him almost the wrong way.... No. That was no way to think of a newcomer! His half-demon comrade made his sense of danger similarly spike during their initial meeting as well, and now he shared things not even Freddy knew the extent of with her! Perhaps the bow-armed female would be the same way. She likely was, as Gold liked to persuade himself.

"Perhaps we are, newcomer, though I can neither confirm nor deny the notion," Gold promptly replies, again bowing to who he had greeted. However, this bow was less extreme and only involved his head dipping down in courtesy. It was.... Best to be more guarded, judging by the elf's tone, lack of manners, and the feeling of off saturating her aura. "I was unaware of other elves above the old cavernous territories. Where might you be from, if telling is not much trouble?"

Žimer MegiW

"Hhhhhhhh" Žimer curiously looks at the Gold, he never seen an elf before...

"I am from the caverns of Kingdom, as are all citizens of our humble kingdom. We are known for our craftsmanship in food, clothing, and fine jewelry," Gold quickly responds to Tigress, his tone still careful and a little guarded. "I am afraid I have never gained knowledge of other planets or galaxies, however."

The tall, still-a-little-tense Elf began to relax, seeing as Tigress no longer sounded hostile. Her gaze still felt quite harsh to him, though, and Gold really isn't fond of that sort of stare. But now there is something far more pressing (and so embarrassing!) that he had forgotten before. Introductions! How rude it was to not introduce himself! Oh, if Father could see him from the peaceful eternity of afterlife above he would never hear the end of it!

Hoping to quickly right what he deems is a very wrong thing, Gold suddenly speaks again. "I apologize for being so rude as to not introduce myself, fellow Elf. I am Gold, the Head Healer and Tradesmaster of Kingdom. What might your name be?"

MegiW

At the mere sight of Žimer did Gold stiffen up, eyes darting between the unknown creature's hands and face. It felt... wrong. He sensed magic, but everything about it was wrong. It shouldn't be this dark. It shouldn't make his magic boil inside of him and instill fear into every cell in his body. It shouldn't make him want to run. At all.

Despite himself, however, Gold knew he had to find out what the creature wanted if anything. Perhaps he was attempting to make conversation?

"Greetings, ...sir? What might your purpose be here today?"

Regret keeno

. ``Is the magic in this town always so strong?`` .

. Who knew when they had appeared. Feathered wings slightly unfolded and ruffling against the morning air. They sat quite literally right behind the elf, peering over their shoulder with a solemn look. The naturally somber aura of their magic couldn't be helped- it was a sharp contrast to the upbeat and lively air to the small town. The large dragon lifted it's head to turn to the sky.

``Are all of you this small?``

His voice, seemed to be heavy, as would a tired soul too done with things to speak any longer. To prove their point, Regret stood on their talon-like feet and blinked at the elf through hazy eyes. His eyes- appeared hazed, glazed over with eons of tears never actually shed.

Gold's eyes narrow at Tigress's sudden change, from somewhat agreeable to being way too big for her status. His stance tenses, continuing to analyze whatever he could of his companion while they faced one another.

"I am sorry, but it would be nigh impossible to conquer the whole planet. You would be quickly disposed of by the human city-states nearby," Gold calmly explains, head bowed as he speaks. "I also apologize, for I cannot call you by the name of a monarch. My loyalty and services lie with His Majesty, who rules over our Kingdom of Magic. I can, and will, however, still treat you with respect."

As Gold turned to the sound of a weary voice and aura of complete opposite to his generally happy town.  To the Elf, Regret's magic felt so strong, so wonderfully so, that he could not help but give a kneeling bow, one such honor only reserved for His Majesty or the chiefs of Witch tribes.

"Greetings to you, Somber One," Gold says, only rising after several moments of bowing. "This town is one of the most magical in the world. Outside of the forests and mountains it is much harder for magic to thrive."

Mila Bran Umbrase LemonTeaRain

ShiftingFoxx (I hope it's okay if I build this on the fact they've already met? ^^)

Alright, it was official. Mila was well and truly lost. After some days of travel, the blind witch had found herself no closer to home, having been completely scammed by the horse-drawn carriage drivers she had forked over her hard-earned (or hard-stolen) gold to. After lots of shouting and demands had been thrown around, she eventually bailed on the transport while it was still in motion, jumping out and storming off into the woods alone.

Admittedly, it wasn't her brightest idea. It took her a whole day to find some quiet town, and it felt almost suffocatingly magical, to the degree she began to worry for her safety being there. One source of magic in particular caught her attention, unfamiliar and yet wonderfully familiar all at the same time. There was no real way for the thief to be certain just yet, but her tone was hopeful as she slowly approached who she believed to be an elf who's magic she'd come to know some time ago on a certain train. "Is that you, Gold?"

Regret keeno

. Feathers ruffled in surprise at the greeting, yet soon thereafter Regret dipped their own feathered head to the ground in its own gesture of respect to the elf. .

``Greetings to you as well, Elf of Life.``

The dragon lifted its head after a moment and took the next to examine the elf in front of them, before attempting to part their jaws in somewhat of a smile. The attempt came out rather the opposite of what he intended, as rows of teeth bared themselves to the cool air. Upon realizing how they must look right now, Regret quickly closed its maw ruefully.

``Ah, my apologies about that.``

A gutteral sound- something of a chuckle vibrated from the god's throat and out into the air. Nostrils flared as Regret soaked in the magic of the town. It was quite anew to his own... more lively, more full.

``I must commend you for keeping such a civilization running. It requires strong magic for a place to sustain itself. You must be quite the leader.`` Regret nodded it's commendation and folded all four large wings to its back to take them out of the way of the merchants traversing the streets.

Gold was finishing up the healing of a child's particularly nasty bruise and sending them off just as Mila approached. He too sensed a magic unlike his Kingdom's, but still familiar to the elf.  He turned, and what a better face to see than Mila, a friend he made on that horrendously fast bucket of metal? A very large,  welcoming grin made itself known upon his features. Oh how wonderful it was to see her again!

“It is indeed I, Mila,” Gold says, stifling a rather pleased chuckle. He bows his head slightly in a friendly greeting. “How was it you came here? It has been too long since we saw each other last.”

Sh_dz8

“There is no need to thank me, Tigress,” Gold says with a light chuckle. His eyes glow faintly with a golden light as his gaze softens. So invasion was not imminent? And Tigress surely was unaware that there were not many elves, but more creatures like His Majesty, a satyr, or Amare, a semiaquatic merperson. There were many of them, but only three or four elves in the Kingdom. He keeps his reply short, not wanting to divulge too much information on his kingdom.

“Kingdom consists of beings from many species. Elves happen to be one of the minorities.

While a little surprised by Regret's response to him, Gold was not unnerved by his attempt to smile. He accepted it warmly , as did he the rest of the Dragon's compliments. But he was no leader. Never would he formally lead his people.

"I do apologize,  Somber One, but I am no leader. I am but a healer and tradesperson for Kingdom. "

"Too long indeed," Mila agreed, relieved that the person who'd answered her was in fact who she'd hoped it was. "I'm glad to find you here. To be honest with you, I came here completely by accident. The carriage I got on scammed me, so I've been just walking in a straight line all day, in the hopes of finding my way."
