Komadori is sorta my non-conventional take on a Futakuchi-Onna. In my 'verse, monster people disguise as human through glamors, and the myth of the Futakuchi-Onna having prehensile hair and two mouths comes from glamor failures, whenever one tries to use their tentacle hair to eat, the glamor is unable to disguise this and it appears as someone using prehensile hair to eat with a second mouth. Anyways, Komadori is the orphaned daughter of a billionaire businessman who travelled overseas and learned a mystic combat art in order to get revenge on her father's killers. Basically like Batman but the continents are backwards.
Petrov is a Hyakume. His kind originated in Japan but there are many across all of Asia. In his case, he's from Russia where there's no cities with glamor fields for monsters to disguise themselves, so he had to escape to America to avoid prosecution. He's a detective and he also becomes Komadori's surrogate father figure... like... the Alfred to Komadori's Batman.
Webber and Ariadne are both Tsuchigomos but with very different backstories. Webber's a hacker and a magic user who can warp reality with computer programs. Ariadne's an evil leader of a cult who seeks a divine power that would give her absolute knowledge over all things. While Tsuchigomos originated in Japan, these two only have distant ancestors there, and Ariadne is actually Brazilian.
