i swear there was a thread like this but i couldnt find it so you know what that means baby
lune get out

i dont really see a lot of characters with physical disabilities outside of like... needing glasses so i wanna see some !

characters with prosthetics count !

you can say as much or as little as you feel like, i just wanna see some cool disabled characters because i just..... never see them and it makes me sad

as always black out anything sensitive !

 Isaac Abel fairlead

Isaac here has chronic pain due to trauma to his nervous system, as well as a damaged left leg. While he can usually deal with the chronic pain, he does use a cane and a leg brace to help with general movement. He's a somber character, but tries to remain optimistic about his prospects and always lends a hand to any other disabled people he meets!

InkAndBone

I've got lots! Jesse is blind, Lucas is deaf, this unnamed dude is missing an arm and mostly deaf in one ear, Dima is essentially mute due to a torn lip creating a severe speech impediment, and this guy is new, but I'm turning him anthro he's going to be missing his right leg.

 Ruby Moreau mvisons

Ruby is a wheelchair user due to a cocktail of diseases she had in childhood. She likes to keep it clean and even a bit stylish, she colored the wheels gold to match her glasses.

 TJ BRADLEY

TJ has a prosthetic left arm, and Buffalo is deaf due to a weapon malfunctioning and blowing up in his face,

 Kalen SweetasSaccharine

I have a few ocs with physical disabilities, but I've come to notice most have to do with eyes X,D

But this new boy is my current favorite! ,p>He has always been pretty near sighted, but made it worse by reading in low light conditions way too often early on in life.

It's not too bad with his glasses, but he cannot see much further than a foot in front of his face without them lol

My other favorite is my my girl valarielle: https://toyhou.se/1481553.valarielle

She is severely photo-phobic and cannot have the blindfold off, except when in a room that is virtually pitch black

Angharad Llewelyn stuntchica

angharad is still rather underdeveloped as a character which i need to change, but she's physically disabled!

she also has bipolar disorder & during a manic episode fell from a great height, becoming paralysed in the process. she has to use a wheelchair to get around now, but she's adjusted to life & wouldn't really want to change how she is. a lot of her early story is about her learning to accept her life as it is

Julia Wright/Henry Newman Cliodna

This is interesting actually because I barely have any that count (I've got some blind characters but they all have a sixth sense of some sort to make up for it). Need to remedy the situation at some point.

Henry/Julia is a temporary case. They lost their arms to a werewolf attack - right one up to hir shoulder, left one a few days later up to elbow. A werewolf bite, in that setting, starts festering very rapidly thus requiring immediate amputation. They'll probably get magitek prosthetics but it'll take a few months to heal and more months or years of training to use properly. Until then they need to rely on either other people or their own tongue/toes to get things done and hate every moment of it.

My boy Romeo lost one of his arms in a car accident. He prefers not to wear a prosthetic most of the time though.

He is mostly based on my cat (she only has three legs). And he even is one of my mains :)

Molly Rathbone chelonianmobile

Molly suffers from psychosocial dwarfism; basically she grew up in a terrible environment and it stunted her growth. She's never gonna make five feet, but she's learned to use her size to her advantage already.

 Faelan Nefere

I have more than one but the first one that comes to my mind is Faelan! He's lost an arm and a leg and builds his own prosthetics with a combination of technology and a bit of magic.

Twocue

Cain has tonic-clonic seizures, Jackal was born without arms, Olm is blind, Ruma is deaf, Spook has MS, Grey is in a wheelchair, and Annamin has Neurofibromatosis. I think I'm missing a bunch of OCs here X'D But I'll add any if I remember them ^^... Some of these OCs don't have much, if ANYTHING, on their pages yet. But I thought I would share anyway ^^!

 Virgil GalacticNebula

Virgil is missing an arm as well as blind in one eye; he ended up in an accident with a western gang; which.. His now lover was part of that gang, so it makes for some interesting conversations. Don't think because he's partly blind and one arm'd he can't swing a Punch. He's busted a mans jaw once for a comment about his lack of an arm. I have a lot of oc's with physical disabilities tho.

$15 tvland

not sure if this counts as a physical disability, but murph and and couple other oc's have hypothyroidism, a disease that's been with me since birth. it gives me comfort when i see that other people have hypot. besides me

Toast Saltminer

Toasty here is blind! He was blinded due to a mysterious trauma and now uses a cane, as well as his magic to navigate (but only once emergencies. He uses more logical and grounded methods to function instead of leaning on magic all the time.)
