Saddest things that have happened to your OCs

Posted 5 years, 7 months ago by Jules

Oh. Oh god. Well, I feel like this is gonna be wild (and sad, prepare your handkerchiefs).

As the thread title goes, please tell me about the saddest things that have happened to your OCs. Can be that they lost a loved one and only found out years after their death, or they have lived in a giant lie. Or maybe the OCs sibling sold the OCs entire Tamagotchi collection. Whatever. Maybe it's something sad in general, maybe something sad for the OC personally.

If there are any triggering topics, please black them out or put them in a spoiler box.

Dexter Davekat softplush

both of his dads die and he prototypes them both into a sprite (homestuck thing hrm hrm!)

 Trinity Gipsy_Danger

Her mother died after giving birth to her, then roughly 9 years later, she have to watch her father slaughtered by a cyborg.

Trinity was lucky enough to get rescued by another group of survivors, then from there, she planned her revenge.

But life is a joke and 10 years later, she faced a cyborg that turned out to be her father (who wasn't died that day, somehow, but he got 'harvested' and converted into a cyborg). Now her mind is all over the place and she has no idea where to go from there.

Dr. Nicolai Ivanovich Kozlov RaikaiRan

The saddest story of his life is that he lost someone very dear to his heart because of his own hands. That's why he is afraid of blood now. It's his fault that she isn't alive anymore and he can never forgive himself even when he had no control over his mind at that time. He got infected with a virus that only attacks people with augmentations and made him lose his mind for some time. The little girl he adopted was at the wrong time in the wrong place.

Cody ChristianCupcake

His mom passed away when he was five. Cody had no one else, and was too afraid to go to strangers, so he lived in the woods/on the streets til he was about 14. He was rescued by a kind lady and was taken in. Then his biological dad randomly shows up. Long story short, Cody get to know his dad and lives with him now.

Waaa,,, a little bit long! Some of these subjects may be unsuitable for some readers. Proceed with caution.

Andrea; An ex-child soldier, severe PTSD from war - constantly trying to cope with his illness in an environment that looks at it as a taboo subject.

Elliott; His mom was emotionally abusive, got separated from his childhood friends, his father was also emotionally distant (unintentionally.)

Chaisee; History of domestic abuse coming from her dad, ends up with her mom committing suicide - leaving her and her little brothers alone with their dad. Their dad still continues with his antics, resulting in Chaisee killing him. Got sent to jail for a few year without any of her brothers visiting her once.

Paithoon; Lived his early life being someone whose stuck fighting his opponents in a cage for money.

Valmira(PROFILE WIP); A victim of human trafficking, abused and tortured by her "owner." Leaving her with permanent injuries and scars.

Elysians; A bunch of gods n goddesses watching their beloved friends, families and lovers die before their eyes - constantly deal with themes of loneliness, hopelessness and a grand amount of pressure.

Alterina; A bunch of kids that has been trusted way too much by society's eyes, trying their best to survive everyday - making the right decision.

Blank; Kid who died from their physical condition, roams in the realm of people's dream, gets to see and experiences them - though always met with the same outcome that is; they won't be there for Blank all of the time.

And that is it, I believe! If you'd like to know more, let me know! I'd love to chit chat more about em, we can relate one OC to another :D

Anastasia Schilder (De Raaf) DespressoRaven111802

When she first moved to America at the age of 6, she made a friend. She ended up falling in love with that friend, like…. Madly in love. They became very good fitness over the years, but Raven never knew that her friend was suicidal. One day, on a family trip at the age of 16, Eeve (her friend) died. In Raven’s arms. It was reeeeally sad, and Raven still has trauma from loosing her best friend (wife now)

Sachihiro "Rōzeki" Yamamoto Ayeaka

So... this guy is probably the oldest runner I've ever played. He was actually born on Yomi during the mandate. He survived to see freedom (and the end of the mandate that ended that concentration camp) but his parents didn't survive to see freedom, living him alone to raise his younger sibling in a world he really only recognized from stories.

Fortunately, Izumi was really too young to remember the experience, but Sachi's seen a loooooot of death and suffering, and is still kind of pingponging between struggling to adjust to life outside and trying to make up for lost time.

honestly, there's a lot of sad things with this char, but i figured i may as well list two of the saddest- (edit, forgot to go into code view to properly spoil it at first so i panic-edited)

this is presently hidden within repressed memories at the moment, but up until Emma was 5, she lived with her biological parents - both of whom were extremely neglectful and varying amounts of abusive towards her, with her father being physically abusive and her mother being emotionally abusive, and half of the time Emma didn't really know what was going on because she hardly had much, if any, education given to her despite her being royalty. they both resented her for different reasons; her father for her magic not coming through, her mental disorders and her not being a boy as he had wanted, and her mother for the simple fact that she had to bother taking care of her, something that she never did anyway. after she turned 5, though, her father eventually made an attempt on her life for a myriad of "reasons" while he was in a drunken rage, but he was unlucky enough to be subjected to the full force of Emma's aura the moment it first awakened as her magic's attempt at keeping her alive, leading to him committing suicide. her father's death ended up alerting the family guardian, a gigantic kaprosuchus thing, and it went on a total rampage as it tried to search for its charge's killer, which eventually lead to Emma's mother rushing into the room. the mother was initially horrified at seeing her husband's corpse, but the aura ended up sinking its claws into her will and she took Emma to flee as quickly as possible.
not even ten minutes later, though, Emma's mother had to hide Emma in the escape hatch when she realized that the guardian was coming, and Emma was forced to watch the beast practically maul her mother to death before it stormed off to search for anything else to destroy, allowing Emma to barely manage to escape.

another pretty sad thing with Emma is the fact that she has her aura to begin with; it's not your typical aura that only makes you feel one or two things towards a person, but basically just targets whatever positive feelings or urges it can find (even extremely dubious and morally questionable ones) a person feeling towards Emma and enhances them. because of this, it... basically leads her to always question every single positive relationship she has in her life and wonder if they're even real or if they're just products of the aura, which half of the time makes her feel more alone than if she was alone in the more literal sense.

Ohhh boy. Buckle up kids, this is gonna be a loonnnggg ride...
WARNING: Violence, mental illness, sui/ide, torture, neglect, death, abuse, and other topics that may be found disturbing. Proceed with caution.

- Max's girlfriend Annaliese ended up killing herself when they were both human. I say this is the saddest because yes he was getting heavily abused and heavily bullied, and therefore had to deal with a LOT of things because of that, Anna was the thing that kept him going. In his eyes, there was no other reason for him to stay alive. He could hurt himself all day, sleep all he pleased, and be absent from home as much as he wanted but that would never change anything at the end of the day. Anna was the only thing that made him realize that not everyone was a shit human being to him. That he was worth something. To see her struggle so much but still be able to go on inspired him to go on, and when she killed herself that was just... the breaking point tbh. His suicide attempts increased and mental hospital visits became more in number.

- Evie was shoved into an AU (kinda literally) where she was forced to hurt, die, and kill. But the saddest thing about that was that she had to kill her father Harry, whom she's closest to, and her other father treated her how her biological parents used to treat her - he ignored her entirely, almost as though she didn't exist.

- Amaris and her husband were shot on their wedding day when they were humans.

- Oh dear, what do I even say about Carmel? I think the first time her 'father' Peter used her when she was only 6 years old. Not only was her innocence taken away from her that day, but her excitement, joy, and dreams were all seamlessly crushed by the people she thought were going to be her new, loving parents. She was so excited to finally have a family again, though they couldn't replace her biological family, but then he turned around and he turned out to be more than a monster. That day, that moment in time, was the beginning of her adulthood. The beginning of her crushed dreams, her killer streak, and her innocence lost in the wind. She never got to be a little girl, never got to live without fear, never to live without seeing death in her life. Even now she's still surrounded by death, mentally deranged because of Peter and Irene. She will never be innocent, never get the blood off of her hands, and it's not entirely her fault. To feel safe to her is to live fearfully because she expects for that comfort to be ripped away from her at any moment, so she continues to surround herself with death.

- Watching his father tear off the head of his older sister, Myra, who he was extremely close to is probably the saddest thing for Ares. And then seeing her rotting head mounted on the wall because his father used her as a reminder and a warning not to cross him.

- Accepting a potion from a man that was known to vampires as simply Cora's Father (for lack of knowing his real name) was not only an extremely foolish decision and a slightly power-hungry move, but it's also the saddest thing that happened to Melantha. In the end the evil man used the potion to drain her of all of her sanity, leading her to abuse her now husband Allister, continue to use the power and drain her sanity, kill and torture heaps of innocent people, and ultimately kill herself. It took her dying and coming back cursed as a succubus to gain back her sanity, and she feels TERRIBLY for her actions as a vampire. Allister understands what was happening, but of course that doesn't excuse her actions nor does that mean she isn't allowed to live with the consequences of what she did. She does every day, weighed down by a terrible guilt. Though Allister is her husband, he still can't look at her sometimes because of what she did. And she knows she deserves it deep down. She takes what she did and what happened because of her as a lesson to not seek power and just accept herself the way she is.

- Eveline was framed by Caphriel, who used his powers to take control over her actions to force her to kill her best friend and a child, Golding, which ultimately caused her to fall. It was something she didn't do, and would never do on her own. But her body had moved on its own. She'd been the puppet forced to her knees under Caphy's power.

- Kimi's wings were torn from off of her back by demons and now she can never return home again. She's never going to be able to see her family anymore.

Variel endiria

Well, the one with MUCH more tragic life is definitely Ariamon, but I'll go with Variel

• being ignored by his father and having no friends his age at all was always painful for him as a child

• Variel saw his father getting killed by Endei, exactly on his birthday, at the birthday party (both of his parents died on November 11th, just imagine how much he hates his birthday); he's also a witness of some other people's death

• his co-workers aren't always fair with him, he is often treated by them without single sign of respect, despite he is the boss in his organisation - they often make him feel like shit. One of the oldest Ausurius' member, Gerard, puts him in some horrible troubles a few times, also causing Ariamon losing his trust to Ausurius. Variel tries to fire this guy several times, but the rest of his team don't agree for it. Because of Gerard, Variel gets accused for some really worrisome things, and it puts his whole organisation in danger. Gerard also purposely blames Variel for one of their workers' death, which is just too much for him

• every single time when Ariamon tries to  say goodbye to this world; Variel can't stop partly blaming himself for anything bad that happens with him, he just worries about him so much :(

• same with Ariamon's son later, he feels responsible for both of them

• being not able to save a few people when he somehow had an opportunity, this is always upsetting for him

• getting shot by Ariamon (the thing that was more painful than the wound was just Ariamon losing his trust to him....like Mon I've been trying to fix you and keep you as safe as possible and you do SOMETHING LIKE THIS???

• just getting lonely again and again after getting some hope that he finally found a soulmate

• being forced to leave Mon for a long time

his life is quite hard, but not THAT sad and depressing, at least compared to Mon,,,,he's a bit too soft for his role

ough, also

that one lovely day of spring 1925, the l a s t one for him
