Show me your characters whose name and/or pronouns people always get always wrong! Because we all know that's the kind of thing that happens, be it on the website itself (esp. forum games), off-site, or even in real-life! Are some characters of yours more prone to this than others, and why/how? And how do you usually reacts when it happens?

Rai ParadiseLost

Everyone would shorten her name to Rai (n.b. they removed the apostrophe and everything after the apostrophe), which I eventually decided would be her nickname because I was tired of ignoring it, and it isn't invalid. Only thing Rai doesn't like is Vuyushi.

Dream Cathar ilmari

This!! Kid!! WOW!! Ok so they get she/her mostly but it’s stated in their profile that on their planet, none of them have genetalia and do not understand the concept of gender. Howdy. W h Y??? Like????? It’s r I g Ht TH E R E!!! Fricc. I get a lil salty sometimes abt it but like?? It’s rrrrrrrrrright there :’)

Lafayette sinn

Definitely Lafayette! Tbh- he’s a guy...-ish??? Idk whether I wanted him to be a girl or a boy when I made him. But lots of people think he’s a she >>. He’s probably a them tho idk

Navire Sanchez Jxckalito

I'm not sure why people keep thinking Navire is male. As if the long hair isn't a dead giveaway.

Will Kattenkvvaad

Occasionally referred to with male pronouns by some people (probably because of their name), but they are genderless and use they/them pronouns.

lilac-obsidian

all of them because ussually i prefer strangers use they them for all my ocs

Geno YaraKoro

On Toyhouse nobody has ever misgendered him, but on other sites and in RL (We have a picture of him hanging in our house) he is constantly being called a "her".

Kirbygal

I think I have a few

  • I've seen someone spell Casanova's name with two s's once (Cassanova)
  • Hasn't happened yet but I'm expecting someone to add the r in Lysande's name looool
  • Idk if I'm pronouncing the word right myself but I've always said Saccharin with a hard c (like sack- r - rin) but then I heard someone say it with the ch sound and I'm thinking is my life a lie lmao
  • Someone spelled Ramon's name as Roman once but it was just a typo; it was interesting to see though lol
That's all I can think of for now oof sey I'm too tired to link em

As for pronouns never had this issue aside from someone calling Helix a she once lmao

fica busche magicalgirlgore

Fica has actually a female chest, but below the hips he has male genitalia (hes stitched together from multiple different bodies) and wholeheartedly goes by male pronouns but gets called a female a lot! Which is understandable but... It's in his bio that hes a male??

Etayu danlion

It's entirely understandable so I don't care, but Etayu here gets mistaken for male a lot.

 Peach -Alex-

Having an oc that's a trap is super fun lmaoooo. I also used to be a reverse trap on the internet until I came out as trans. I can live that joy I sacrificed to live and be happy through Peach. (I found going on a while without saying I'm female was fun) Tho, none of my other ocs (except one time with Runa, where the person kept calling him she no matter how many times I corrected them grughebnibg) get pronouns wrong that I can really recall.

circlejourney

Oh this thread exists and I missed it apparently

I don't think I've ever had anyone get names wrong. But god dang, do they always get the pronouns for my sona Circlejourney and the adapted version of my sona, Nameless, wrong...my sona gets "he" a lot and Nameless gets all the wrong pronouns. Amari gets "he" sometimes, especially from people I show them to irl.

Morrígan also gets called "she" a lot, but that's forgivable since they do use "she" from time to time. Miraculously, I have also had people think Rubidium is male because ?? apparently they associate her style with men. I have a lot of others, but they aren't posted here yet (and boy, I am not looking forward to this happening again when they are).
