MYOS

You can gift or trade MYOs however you like, but you may not sell them.  Selling a MYO slot is grounds for a ban.  If you decide to transfer your MYO, you must register the transfer in the Transferal Registry.

You can combine two MYO slots to get one higher tier slot.  If one slot is lower tier than the other, the new MYO is +1 tier, so if you have a T2 and combine it with a T4, you get a T5.  If both slots are the same tier, you get +2 tiers, so if you have two T3s, you get a T5.  

• Tiers cannot go higher than T6.

You can turn a T6 MYO or two T5 MYOs into one Unusual Trait voucher.

MYO TIERS:

• T1: Unlimited Common traits +1 Uncommon Trait
• T2: Unlimited Uncommon and Common Traits +1 Rare Trait
• T3: Unlimited Uncommon and Common Traits +3 Rare Traits
• T4: Unlimited Uncommon, Common and Rare Traits
• T5: Unlimited Uncommon, Common and Rare Traits +1 Magical Trait
• T6: Unlimited Uncommon, Common and Rare Traits +3 Magical Traits

There will be a few F2U bases for anyone who wants to use them.  None are finished yet.

TRAIT VOUCHERS

These can be used to add one trait to an existing Owl, or while redeeming a MYO slot.

You can trade or gift these however you like, but trying to sell one is grounds for a ban.  You must register any Voucher transfer in the Transferal Registry.

You can combine four Common-Rare Trait Vouchers, or two Magical Trait Vouchers to create an Unusual Trait Voucher.

MYOs and Vouchers don't have a deadline to be redeemed.  

Founder and MYO designs can always be changed.  Guest Artist designs will have a note in the Masterlist about if you can change the design or not.

A completed MYO design registered to the Masterlist can be sold, but only for the collective price of any commissions you have bought for it.

GETTING A MYO OR VOUCHER

There are several different ways to get a MYO or Voucher, and none that cost real money.*  We don't really have a point system to save up for one, instead they're distributed through events, random Travelling Shops with limited slots, monthly raffles, and art contests!  You can save up raffle tickets to get a guaranteed MYO slot though.

*At least for now, if people want it, I'm willing to set up a permanent T1-3 cash shop, and people would be able to resell those.

Travelling Shops are first come first serve, they have limited stock, and usually T1-2 MYOs and Common-Uncommon Trait Vouchers.  They might occasionally have higher tiers, so keep an eye out!  These are posted with no warning, and don't show up more than once a month.  You can get one MYO or Trait Voucher per month.

Events are participation based.  Everyone who submits an art prompt fill or draws somebody else's owl gets a choice of a MYO or a Voucher at the end.  The tier of which depends on how much they participated.  Participation and payouts are announced at the beginning of each Event.  These only happen every few months, and will always be announced at least a week beforehand.

Art Contests are exactly what they sound like.  Submitted art with the most skill or creativity will win high tier prizes.  There will also be a participation raffle, and art pieces will earn tickets for the monthly raffle.  The amount of people who win the top prizes and the raffle will depend on how many people joined in.

Monthly Raffles have several random tier MYOs and Vouchers as prizes.  You can get one ticket each month by replying to that month's thread ('Checking In') in the Monthly Raffles forum.  You can get additional tickets by drawing your owls, other peoples owls, the mascots, or the prompts.  

• If you don't win anything, your tickets are held for the next month.  They won't be reactivated until you check in again.  If you don't check in and you don't have more than 10 total tickets, your tickets will be deleted.  If you have more than ten tickets, your tickets will still be there whenever you come back.

CREATING A NEW CHARACTER

Reply to this thread with this form.  Try to only provide a colored fullbody sketch of your design.  This is so that if you need to change anything big, you won't have to redo the whole thing.  If you're very confident about not needing any changes, go ahead and do the full piece.

Masterlist Art can have props that are not attached to the owl itself.  These don't have a limit, so long as you can clearly see the owl and it's clearly not a part of the owl's design.

There might be a bit of back and forth about fixing any problems with the design, but once it's approved and you've finished the masterlist artwork, you need to reply again to get a Final Approval with this form:

The final image must be between 500 and 1000 pixels, so that it won't lag the spreadsheet. This will be uploaded to a dedicated google account for image hosting, and displayed on the Masterlist.  We will not do anything else with it.  You will also be given the owl's Masterlist ID.  We recommend you put it  on your personal reference or somewhere you'll be able to easily find it.

If you want someone else to design it, you'll need to work out the sketch and final image with them, but still submit both for review.

The Artist that drew the Masterlist Art can post it wherever they want.
