Character Name: Hane Fujiwara

Species: A forest spirit that calls its bloodline "The Fujiwara"
Village Role: Mana Student
Housing: A cottage, which he was given for his exemplery mana capabilities
Specialty: The Fujiwara are very in tune with the mana of living things. Hane can influence the growth of plants with his mana and not poison them.
Blurb: Hane lived in a nearby forest, which was completely burnt to the ground as all of the forest spirits were purposefully killed. He escaped and eventually found the village, where he was welcomed due to his being a forest spirit. When he came to understand mana poisoning, Hane decided he didn't want to use his mana gift anymore. He tried his hand at a number of manual labor jobs to try to fit in, but was told that he wasn't good enough. The village council effectively bullied him into deciding to be a Mana Student, or risk being thrown out. He now studies advanced Mana and is going to be used to jumpstart some farms once he's ready. In other words, once he finishes his studies he will probably die to get some farms running. Hane is quite bitter about this, but has become attached enough to the villagers that he isn't resisting. He just wants them safe.
Relationship Hunting:
- Hane is a family orientated person and survives mentally by giving himself a "family" to protect. Other characters to live in the cottage and be his adoptive family would be nice.
- Fellow Mana Students to commiserate with. Hane is specializing in plant and earth magic.
- A role model to keep him going and inspire him.
- People to hate. Hane hates anyone who seems like a freeloader, or who isn't sacrificing themselves as much as they could.
