Ask a question to the above person's OC

Posted 7 years, 6 months ago (Edited 6 years, 9 months ago) by Amvira varkarrus

So it'll go like this: A person posts a question to the above user's OC. Then, after a new person posts a question, the first person edits their post to have an answer.

Something like

Person A: (posts a question to the above person)

Person B: Does (person A) like cupcakes?

then Person A edits their post so it's like

Person A: (posts a question to the above person)
I do like cupcakes!

Person B: Does (person A) like cupcakes?

Person C: Could (person B) defeat Goku in a fight?

then

Person A: (posts a question to the above person)
I do like cupcakes!

Person B: Does (person A) like cupcakes?
No, I absolutely could not take Goku on in a fight, have you seen that guy?

Person C: Could (person B) defeat Goku in a fight?

EDIT: Try and ask questions that lead to the development of characters!

EDIT2: Cant believe this needs to be said, but make your posts legible!!!!

EDIT3: Also. Read the person's profile before you ask a question!
Follow these rules or I'll implement a banlist!

I'll edit this post to include a response to the next person's question, once somebody posts!

(re: "Do you enjoy sitting in a garden to relax?")
"A garden? Pfeh! What kind of pansy-ass garbage is that? Lemme tell you how I relax! A warm, musty couch, some snacks, and video games! Hah!" ((But to be honest, she might enjoy just lounging around under a tree on a hot day))

reinapepiada what's the coolest thing you've ever materialized?

It felt like a long sleep... Very long. I was barely conscious. It wasn't a peaceful sleep. I don't remember much, but... there were more nightmares than dreams. And I felt choked. Like I was sleeping under too many blankets. Couldn't breathe, very tight. Thankfully, it didn't feel too long. Maybe because I don't remember all of it. Noone remembers their entire night's sleep. If I did? That would have been even less fun.

What did it feel like while you were trapped in youre vase? Were you even concious?

@Lyridian

"Why do you distrust cats?  Wholly logical opinion on them, mind you.  I'm simply curious, as a fellow... being who feels felines are too deceptive."

 Answer:

"Most people around me are not bad, but I don't always trust them, and I don't always like them.  Ygvaine is a fire-based demon with a temper to match, and our relationship is mutual dislike, but I respect his talent for following the rules while still achieving incredible things for our purpose and our budget.  Elizabeth is a cat.  I don't trust or like her, because she regularly assaults me, but she likes me for some reason: probably because I'm a bird.  Despite my hatred, even I must admit she can keep our soldiers at heel with incredible efficiency, and she has a natural gift for inspiring them to serve eagerly." He paused and stroked his chin. "Those are the other members of the Council with whom I deal the most, however they are not my only interactions, and since your question is quite serious, I will answer it as thoroughly as I am able."

Yellow eyes slid shut for a few moments before they opened, and he spoke again.

"I own two pets: Kyoko, a female Hunter with Tengu in her heritage; and Rare, a Hunter with demonic ancestry.  Kyoko is my love, and eventually, I hope to break the egg around her heart so she'll return my feelings.  I have taught her a wide variety of magic, and though she is not gifted in its use, she is exceptionally obedient and observant, and can master the forms, even if her energy levels are tragically low.  She is incredibly talented in stealth and agility, and before the Unifiers ripped her wings from her, a beautiful flier.  Rare is a... charity case, for lack of a better word.  She's disobedient and often rude, so punishment is mandatory, and she's so unladylike I had to use compulsory magic to bend her development away from impropriety, though she still found a way to be a disgrace.  Despite the troubling personality and distinctly European over-development of her body, it is impossible to deny her talents at infiltration and diplomacy, despite her complete unwillingness to speak." He paused to breathe a few moments and ponder the continuation of his answer.  One name stood out most immediately, followed by another.

"Last, two Hunters.  Brock is descended from a demon lord aligned with pride, and I often send him on missions because if I don't, he harrasses and tries to steal Rare from me.  I despise him, but he is a good Hunter and knows when to come to heel even before I raise my voice." He shook his head as he wrinkled his nose, as though speaking of Brock was akin to eating a lemon.

"The second Hunter is Faida.  I love her as I would love my own child, though I've no idea why I feel so strongly.  Her love for me is more lustful than I would like, but she is a good girl, and it is difficult to be angry with her.  She completes missions faithfully, she studies and excels in magic, and she often brings me coffee when I'm up late working on beaurocratic paperwork.  Strangely, she always calls people liars when they mention that I am not kind—she may be in denial, but it is still a warm feeling." He let his eyes slide back shut, clearly calmed by speaking of the girl, and then he looked toward the inquisitive and strange mix of oni and equine.  Absently, he wondered who he should send to 'deal with' the creature that smelled of mortal deaths, but kept his thoughts to himself for the moment: mortals often held within them surprising ability and cleverness.

That thought prompted more to his answer. "Finally, the ones I protect are mortals.  They are strange and clumsy, but gifted, and I'm curious to see where their path leads."

Answer finished enough for the purpose of a singular question, he nodded and wrapped up his answer. "Besides those individuals, my other coworkers are great in number, beyond what my throat can manage speaking on.  I hope you'll forgive me neglecting them: we don't speak much outside of work, regardless."

"Mmm, you're certainly very befitting to be a Tengu in manner. Do tell me, what is it that you truly feel about those whom surround you the most?"

"Food is all that they are necessary for.  The scraps of soul that is left over is for the Kitsune spirits around me. I leave not a single piece behind, and they cease to exist. That is why they call me the Onikakushi."

Leila Tibia reinapepiada

What exactly do you seek from your victims and what happens to them after they become so?

___

"I shower everyday, just like the rest of us skeletons! (or at least that's the proper thing to do...) I use a bit of magic to fix certain things, but I think the most important part is our diet! There's this brand of special mixtures that we eat that keeps our bones healthy! It comes in bars, shakes and sometimes even cereal. It doesn't taste like anything, I guess they do it for texture...

As for healing, I do not, naturally heal. It can be very painful, but a skeleton wouldn't die unless all of their bones get entirely crushed. It's a very cruel way to go... Most of my assistance around here is based on healing fellow undeads with magic"

Skepsina varkarrus

Do you have a bone-care routine? If you get injured, do you heal?

Oh, um.. well... not yet, really. But I'll have to be prepared to do so now that I'm using my powers for a good reason! When I was younger, I didn't really, um, understand boundaries and privacy. I'd just read people's thoughts and think it was normal to do so! But I got told just how bad that was and I understand now! Since my brother died, I've used my mind-reading skills in fights, to know what people will do next, but... I haven't had to invade anyone's privacy yet, and I'm not really feeling too good about having to eventually do that...

 Lenore fangmeat

varkarrus

Forgive me for prying but, what was an instance where you had to read someone's mind?

[Lenore's stoic expression seems to break, her red eyes darting to the side and her cheeks seeming to glow faintly.]

In a way, yes.

[Lenore finds nuns to be very.. cute. Like how people are in awe of puppies, Lenore feels the same adoration for nuns and more-or-less has the same reaction.. minus the petting, kissing and cooing (up close, anyways). The old warlord has a softspot for the sweet devote ladies of the lord.]

RAW reinapepiada

How are nuns your weakness? Do you suddenly feel weak around them?

______

"... That would be a selfish wish. If I'm not human it means I do not deserve to be so. But if I could be selfish, I'd... I'd probably enjoy it. Humans live such wonderful lives, I'd like to be one of them and... Ha ha ha... The idea of having a human free will... Is a little funny. In the end, even humans become dependend on things sometimes, right? It's not that that I would envy. Yet...

In general, maybe I'd like to be one, but I don't deserve such right."

 Laderic Naiz'ren Zankyou

Do you ever wish to just become a human?

''If I saw one? Well, that would be quite inconvenient for me - even though I greatly admire these creatures and their majestic selves, I fear that the dragon in question wouldn't stay still for me to observe. It is likely that the creature would attempt to destroy any surrounding buildings, or even capture a poor damsel. If that were to happen, I, as a man who specialises in the noble yet in this case, quite inappropriate art of hairdressing, would fail to be of help. Yet, do not misunderstand me - I would be in great awe if I got to see a dragon, but it would be preferable if I had a knight by my side when that happens in order to avoid unnecessary ... circumstances.''

((In reality, even if he had the most skilled knight or warrior by his side, Laderic would be too afraid to get anywhere near the dragon. Chances are that he would hole himself up inside his salon, grab his only pocketknife, and cower under the furniture until the creature is certainly killed))

Lorelei jetsetspy

What would Laderic do if he saw a real dragon?

He wouldn't let them get away with saying they're superior without a fight. While he usually only uses his large size to intimidate, if someone were seriously challenging him, he wouldn't hesitate to get physical.
Despite the fact that Lorelei tries to talk out his issues, he's not very articulate and lets his anger get to him, which essentially leads to him spitting strings of insults at anyone "threatening" him before attacking. Regardless of the outcome though, he'd be left with a huge grudge on the other person, and though he won't go out of his way to "put them in their place," he won't hold back if they come around again.

Serin Databuffer-Storage

@Celestiyale How would Lorelei deal with someone superior to him? Would he feel threatened? Annoyed? Would he hate them? Or would he feel like he finally met someone of his own callibur?

"Honestly? Very plain. The kind of guy who wouldn't stick out in a crowd, unless you cared to catch him in the right circumstance. Slightly tan skin, dark blue eyes, black hair, that was more often than not, just buzzed. I was rather careful in my work, and surprisingly didn't get many scars until about the time where I began the procedures into what I am today. I've been told I had that type of face that just made you think "Do I know him from somewhere..?"

In short; not as incredible as I look now.

What did you look like before you became a cyborg?

"it's impossible to say that! there are way too many good places, and i haven't gone through them all yet! i like my things bizarre as ever, so parkouring from and around famous buildings will always be the dream! also parkouring in space! but keeping it realistic, jumping from a rooftop to another is always exciting, especially if they're pretty far apart :3c"

"Hmmm, a halfling, are you? You hold great power, why do you value honesty and righteousness when you wield the ability to do as you please?"

He eyes the stranger with a peculiar look. This question in particular never occurred to him.

"I don't do anything particular to them." He pauses for a moment, a flicker of an unknown emotion shown on his face very briefly before he returned to his default, monotounous expression. "However, if my bloodlust is high and I am not satiated, they tend to grow out of control, similar to a baphomet. ...Things happen, and once that phase is over I have to file them down or cut them off entirely depending on how they grew out. My horns constantly grow with every 'evil' I perform."

He gives a rather toothy grin as he reminisced many of his evil deeds.

"So I always file them down after a certain point. The result is something that looks rather clean, although I do not do care to anything past that. If I let them grow out too much, a certain 'puppy' would be rather startled."

Kinny Shears Modwri

solarin

"Oh man, your hair and horns are super pretty.  Do you use anything special to take care of them?  A friend of mine has horns she's really sensitive about, and I figure knowing proper horn care might help her feel better about them!"

 ANSWER:

He hadn't expected that question, but he should have.  The blond grinned as he answered. "Your guess on how it works is about as good as mine, or at least that's what I'd say if I didn't remember how it came about.  It's kinda complex, but I'll do my best!" He offered a wink to the cute Oliv.  Something about their glare seemed weirdly charming, and he wondered if it was just a case of 'resting bitch face' like his uncle.  All brightness and smiles, he began his explanation.

"See, it all started in the womb, and I swear I'm not just being a smartass.  See, my twin brother absorbed me and I died, but apparently we'd developed our souls super early in development cuz...  I actually don't know that one, but anyway!  I kinda ghosted around in there for a bit, hung out with him and stuff.  He died like... six months later?" He frowned thoughtfully, then shook his head. "No, it was closer toward the end.  Eight months." With a firm nod, he continued forward. "Anyway, because I was a ghost, I understood a lot more of what was going on, and I knew Mom a little already.  Not limited by brain growth, that sort of thing.  So, I learned real quick how to possess a body and force its heart to beat until my brother's body and my ghost became one person—my brother, he moved on, at least temporarily."

The ghost boy pushed his bangs from his face, though they were hardly in the way.  It gave him a moment to review what he'd said thus far: to ensure it was everything.  It seemed like it was, but something felt missing until he remembered a part that wasn't included in the question.

"Oh, and the Hunter part, that comes from Mom.  Hunters, they're a sort of human-supernatural hybrid, where the supernatural ancestry's so far back it's usually hidden, but with the right genetics and the right triggers, that heritage just kinda moves to the foreground a little bitty bit, and it gives things like super fast healing, crazy strength, better senses, nosebleeds around magic-based creatures, and sometimes lets you get to use the abilities of your ancestor!" His hair bobbed as he nodded. "Downsides though, you share their weaknesses, too.  Sage smoke in high enough concentrations could force me to leave my body—my brother's body, but he has one of his own now, and he said I could keep this one for now, to keep Mom and Dad happy."

He trailed off. "Oh, and silver causes huge burns cuz it's got magic-eating properties.  That one's universal, I think.  Makes me sad cuz it means I can only look and not touch stuff like real silver earrings.  Even alloys, man!" He shook his head. "Anyway, I promise I'm more like Casper than his uncles, if you've heard of them." Kindall's bright smile offered only warmth as the cheerful boy hoped that he answered well enough for Oliv.

He opened his eyes to get another look.  Sure, he could smell lots about them: places they went frequently, common emotions, certain physical traits, and more.  Still, he thought they were interesting, though their unease did warn him not to get too close or touchy without an invitation.
