Listen to the song from the user above you!

Heya! Figured I'd start up a thread like this as I abolsutely love finding various music, and noticed there isn't a thread for this here yet! Plus, thinking on it, a good few of my OCs are inspired by some songs and music in general, and it never hurts to be on the hunt for more music to check out!

Basic Rules:

1. The person above you will link you a song to listen to!

2. Give your thoughts on it - is it something you liked, or is it just not your cup of tea? Did it inspire you to make an OC on the fly? Feel free to express this as much or as little as you want! (Please be respectful and civil in your reply, though.)

3. In the same post, link a song for the next person to listen to!

[edit] 4. If you're next in line, please claim before going ahead; I totally missed out due to IRL things going on, I realize some people might of been Ninja'd! So let's try to avoid being ninja'd from now on <:"D

EDIT; PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Heya! I've gotten a few concerns from people that go through this thread that some may of been a bit disrespectful about one's tastes in music. Music is something it's obvious not everyone is going to like the same thing, but I must remind you to PLEASE, be respectful to the person above you when having shared music. If it isn't your thing, please be kind and simply say "It wasn't my cup of tea, sorry. I'm glad you like it though!" or something nice along those lines. Having someone be told the song you chose (which might even mean a lot to you on your own terms and reasons behind it) is horrible or nasty, can be a bit rude. Let's do our best to keep polite and civil here while we all jam out to some awesome tunes! Thanks!

All good? Let's get started! I'll link over a song for the first person to start things off!

First song: The Maddest Kind of Love, by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

Kattenkvvaad

It's a nice song, but the audio quality is not very good which is sad :/

Time to share a song by one of my favorite bands owo

Revvin_in_Red

Claim!
Edit: Oh wow. This just brought me right back to how much I love music that sounds more "old timey" sooo much. Really made me think of Heather Dale and singers like her. Im gonna have to listen through this band good lord!!!

Have a song that always hits me me pretty hard, but still a nice song imo. SONG HERE

it's not the sort of music I listen to at all, but not out of dislike just happenstance. I quite like the sound of it actually! I can't really put to words what I liked most about it, but I can say I definitely enjoyed my time while listening to it hehe. has a nice rhythm to it.

this is a cover but... I can't imagine listening to any other version so here

Lilina

My words can't describe how good it sounds, even for a cover. The visuals in this video are really pretty, and also, the singer's voice (While a voicebank) sounds really emotional as well. I really dig Japanese songs, especially when it's Vocaloid.

Here's Victim by Mili! I'm a person who mostly listens to Mili music, and I can't stop listening to this song because I just love it too much.

i think i've mentioned before i'm not big on japanese music so it applies here too i'm afraid - tho something abt it makes me feel kinda like... nostalgic? not sure why, maybe it gives me the feeling of a song from a movie or TV show like at the ending scene or credits or smthn? like that weird satisfying feeling u get after u finish a movie or series kinda

this song has been my jam lately (nsfw warning for the album art (it's just an aesthetic titty/artistic nudity, but i'll give a heads up nonetheless))

i'm really not a fan of older songs so i was really hesitating on listening to this and i also really dislike songs backed by acoustic guitars (bad memories oof) and was kinda really put off at first but as i listened to it further this big wave of nostalgia hit me and?? it felt really euphoric for some reason, heck it even just made me smile at some points??? it's confusing but i like the feeling that i got while listening to it. it reminded me a lot of old anime that i used to watch as a kid and started watching again recently, just simpler times y'know? it was nice but i don't think i'd listen to it again, mainly because of the length and lyrics, they were a bit repetitive oof; but thank for sharing this anyways!

--------

for my song, i've found that most songs written for vocaloids have the most interesting/meaningful lyrics while having catchy tunes, y'know?? i really enjoy the lyrics to a song so i've listened to all of them i could find and i present to you this gem

R.I.P. in the Gossip Sea! - GUMI

i really love the tune (really catchy omg) and how the lyrics comment on social issues and the chaos of the internet while still having a 'playful' mask to them

anyways, hope you enjoy it!

oh man!!!!!!!!!!! i have so so many memories of this song. there used to be this really great soul eater AMV from when i was a kid that had this song, its be removed since then, but it always stuck with me. its really great for like, character relationship songs, especially ones between those with complicated relationships haha. i can always visualize my own pv to it ............. its so pretty and it almost fits with all my oc universes......... thanks for reminding me of one of my favorite childhood songs !

-------------------------------------------

my song is Bernadette by IAMX!

AlleycatIrony

OH i wondered who sung this... i quite like this one tbh and i'd heard it a few times before but wasn't certain of name or artist which is wild bc i've got a few IAMX songs downloaded so u'd think i'd be able to pick them but i guess not lmao

glad i know now tho haha - i might add it to my list ;0
