Heya! Figured I'd start up a thread like this as I abolsutely love finding various music, and noticed there isn't a thread for this here yet! Plus, thinking on it, a good few of my OCs are inspired by some songs and music in general, and it never hurts to be on the hunt for more music to check out!
Basic Rules:
1. The person above you will link you a song to listen to!
2. Give your thoughts on it - is it something you liked, or is it just not your cup of tea? Did it inspire you to make an OC on the fly? Feel free to express this as much or as little as you want! (Please be respectful and civil in your reply, though.)
3. In the same post, link a song for the next person to listen to!
[edit] 4. If you're next in line, please claim before going ahead; I totally missed out due to IRL things going on, I realize some people might of been Ninja'd! So let's try to avoid being ninja'd from now on <:"D
EDIT; PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Heya! I've gotten a few concerns from people that go through this thread that some may of been a bit disrespectful about one's tastes in music. Music is something it's obvious not everyone is going to like the same thing, but I must remind you to PLEASE, be respectful to the person above you when having shared music. If it isn't your thing, please be kind and simply say "It wasn't my cup of tea, sorry. I'm glad you like it though!" or something nice along those lines. Having someone be told the song you chose (which might even mean a lot to you on your own terms and reasons behind it) is horrible or nasty, can be a bit rude. Let's do our best to keep polite and civil here while we all jam out to some awesome tunes! Thanks!
All good? Let's get started! I'll link over a song for the first person to start things off!
First song: The Maddest Kind of Love, by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
Oh, this song! I love gorey creepy songs like this one, even if it's a little, uh, over the top.
How about Self-Fufilling Prophecy? (just a little warning, it touches on some serious subjects, specifically anorexia)
I thought that it'd be something like super heavy metal and was about to think it wasn't my style.. It's actually really good, definitley adding it to my music playlist. It has a good sound to it, I can't really explain it but like honestly I think its my new favorite song.
How about Don't Wanna Cry its a k-pop song so i'm sorry if you aren't into that kind of music.
I LOVE THIS SONG FUK I LOVE SEVENTEEN I LOVE YOU OMG IM CRYING
im kind of obsessed with this song its also kpop sorry lol
The song isn't my favorite, but it easily would have been about 5-6 years ago. It reminds me of my Vocaloid days and Matryoshka. It does have a nice beat, just not my type now. :)
If you don't want to see the whole video and get right to the song, skip to 1:47
FFF YES I LOVE THIS SONG, IVE HEARD IT BEFORE AND I LOST IT THANK YOU SOOOOSOSOOSOS MCUH
how about ajr - ready
It's okay. Not really into boybands.
Try While My Guitar Gently Weeps - Regina Spektor
Personally, I like the original Beatles version better. I feel like The Beatles capture more emotion in the song, but cover is still fantastic! I would listen to it again :)
I like it, I would definitely listen to this again. The song kind of reminds me of a mix of Glass Animals and Daft Punk... actually, it reminds me of all sorts of artists, and yet it sounds like their band/person. Nevermind that though, I really like the sound of it. It's got a nice beat.
Recently found this one song I love :) The Wolf-SIAMÉS (The music video is pretty great too)
Ah I LOVE this song!! And the animation is super cool, that's going in my playlist~
BitterSweet - Moving Forward Electronic jazz is my favorite music genre so hopefully it's someone else's too :oc
Okay, I actually don't dislike jazz, but this thing was... how should I put it?... Slow?... messed up?.... It sounded like something you'd use to brainwash someone.
Well, I just gonna put this one here
oh, ive heard this song a bunch of times and i love it! i never knew the name of it though :0
wonderland by caravan palace is one of my favorites! (the music video is reeeeally weird though xD)
(there was some weird ad and i was in another tab so i was like "tHIS AiNT A SONG??") wOah my friend has a roleplay called wonderville and the beat of it fits so well with the storyline omg, i honestly rlly like it
